Trump: US needs president with Ivy League 'mindset'
The Hill ^ | 08/13/2015 | Mark Hensch

GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump said on Wednesday that the nation needs a president with an Ivy League education.

“I went to an Ivy League school,” he said on “The Hugh Hewitt Show.” “I was an excellent student at the Wharton School of Finance, which is the best in the world, one of the hardest to get into in the world, maybe the hardest, but maybe one of the hardest to get into, even back then.”

“That’s the kind of thinking our country needs, that mindset,” Trump added. “The fact is, that’s the kind of mindset or thinking we need to beat China on trade. They’re killing us.”

That’s because the headline writer was lying. Trump was referring to a business-school mindset.

Modesty isn’t his strong suite.

What gave it away?

Ditto that. I listened to the interview and that’s not what Trump meant.

So much disinformation and spin, so little time.

I think this does it for me as far as Trump is concerned. He is an elitist that doesn’t really represent so called ‘middle America’. I don’t believe that Cruz has the same mindset even though he is connected to big money by way of his wife. To/for me the person of POTUSA must have the perspective for the middle person. I realize that many such persons are looking for their own ‘sugar daddy’ but the wheelers and dealmakers have cornered the market so to speak.

Has he said how specifically he is going to “beat China on trade” and stop them from “killing us?”

I’m not so much interested in what he says.

I’m much more interested in what he does.

How many checks has he written to the Democrats?

How many checks has he written to the Clintons?

What he is his current position on Planned Parenthood?

He says whatever he wants and his positions change as frequently as he speaks.

Sorry to be the one to tell you but the guy is a complete fraud and a charlatan, not to mention a loose cannon and a clown.

He is like a little child in constant need of attention and adulation. He expects only softball questions from the media. He is a complete narcissist and egomaniac, he reminds me of BHO in this regard.

In 2008 the American people bought into all of BHO’s platitudes and hoopla. Few wanted to do any serious research on his past or his radical connections and radical politics.

Likewise I think DT needs to be thoroughly vetted and his past policy positions carefully examined as well as his past political donations. DT should be held to the same standards as anyone else seeking public office IMHO.

MR changed his position from pro-abortion to pro-life and many here were critical of that. DT does the exact same thing and he gets a pass.

And Ted Cruz (Harvard AND Princeton) is just the man we want and need.

Absolutely. If one Ivy League degree is good then two must be twice as good, right?

How about that wonderful business that kills babies and sells their parts? Trump loves that kinds of business.

Come on. At least be accurate with your remarks.

“The problem that I have with Planned Parenthood is the abortion situation. It is like an abortion factory, frankly,” Trump began. “And you can’t have it. And you just shouldn’t be funding it. That should not be funded by the government, and I feel strongly about that.”

So I guess Trump must think everything has been hunky dorey since Jan. 1989. Every President since Jan 1989 attended an Ivy League school either as an undergraduate or graduate student. His anticipated opponent in the general election, Herself, also has an Ivy League education. The current first couple attended Ivy League schools. Even Gore, Kerry, and Dukakis attended Ivy League schools. So what is Trump talking about. The grip of the Ivy League on politics has never been more strangling than now. Not since FDR won four straight has the Presidency been held soo long by Ivy Leaguers.

Man, some folks just don’t think before for they start waving the shotgun.
