Michael Sam will step away from professional football, he announced via Twitter on Friday night.

Sam, the 25-year-old who began the season with the CFL's Montreal Alouettes, cited a tumultuous past year for leaving football at this time.

The Alouettes confirmed in a release that Sam has left the club for "personal reasons" and that he has been added to the team's suspended list.

Sam made the announcement in a series of three tweets.

As mama used to say “As long as you think you’re going crazy, then you’re OK”.

Unfortunately, crazy people are the last to know they are not OK. Included among them are queers and other perverts. Rosie O’Donnell is certifiably bat-$hit crazy, but she doesn’t know it. She thinks she is OK.

Crazy is kinda like B.O. Her closest friends don’t know how to tell her how offensive her condition is to most people who practice hygiene.

Back in the 20th century, they used to institutionalize people for a lot less than smearing people with their own menstrual blood. Lobotomies were popular. Maybe she would have needed one, who knows. While extreme, a lobotomy was effective in changing one’s attitude (as well as facial expression).

The bi-polar people swing both ways. Reminds me of the alternating current electricity cycle. One minute they’re normal, the next minute they’re nuts. They are half crazies who sense something is not quite right, but can’t figure out what it is. They are prone to wild mood swings. They are mentally unstable.

If left untreated, extreme mental illness is irreversible and one will be doomed to go through life as a left-wing liberal Democrat. Even so, some will argue they are really right-wing conservative Republicans. Some will try to convince you they were for it before they were against it. Can you tell the difference, they can’t?

Anyway, I think I’m going crazy...

/S

Shhh... do your own research.

I don't want to "out" someone who doesn't want to be outed.

That's dirty, and something a democrat would do.

I won't go there. I respect the man because he DOESN'T want to create a fuss.

But it's really not a "secret" if you want to find out.

Ha! Well, there are some younger members who weren't around during the Glory Days of the Steelers. Heck, these days if you ask a kid about Thomas Jefferson, he might say, “who?” They know even less about sports figures from the past.

A lark is basically a prank, a free-spirited adventure not to be taken seriously. I think the Frogs would have been a better name. I have a pond full of frogs in my yard. I like the way they just sit there on rocks, waiting for flies to eat. Then at night, they make pleasant noises to go to sleep by. I like frogs. When I was in boy scouts, back before boy scouts were infiltrated by homosexuals, we used to kill frogs on camping trips and put their legs on sticks and cook them over the campfire. We used to kill the frogs with slingshots. We’d put rocks in the slingshots and would see the eyes of the frogs poking over the surface of the ponds. If we hit one, they’d slowly flip over and float in the pond upside down, belly up. After a while, we got pretty good at killing frogs. And we made sure we collected them so that we could put their legs on sticks and cook them. They tasted good, almost like chicken wings. They would not let such a thing happen today.

I could have told you the guy had mental health problems long before he ever announced it.

Heck -- if the psychiatric health profession had any integrity, he would have been diagnosed as mentally unstable as soon as he announced that he was a homosexual.

Longer wider field, bigger balls, one more guy on the field, and one fewer down. More of a passing game than a bunch of guys pushing back and forth until the ball is thrown.

Both games have their place.
