Overwhelming majority of Trump's online following is ineligible to vote
Washington Examiner ^ | August 14, 2015 | Gabby Morrongiello

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump may be dominating social media, but a new study has revealed that a vast percentage of his online following is legally incapable of voting.

According to data collected by the social analytics company, Macromeasures, just 39.4 percent of the real estate mogul's Twitter followers are members of the voting-eligible population, as first reported by Forbes.

The company analyzed a handful of GOP hopefuls, including Jeb Bush, Mike Huckabee, Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, Scott Walker and Carly Fiorina. Among those Republican candidates, Trump carried the largest percentage of disenfranchised followers. In comparison, 95.7 percent of Fiorina's Twitter followers could legally cast a ballot if the election were held tomorrow.

According to Forbes, Macromeasures used certain criteria to filter out followers located outside the U.S. and/or under the age of 18 when gathering its data. A spokesperson told Forbes that the company used spot checks to ensure that individuals who were filtered out were indeed unlikely to be American and thus, unable to vote.

"The analysis also found that Trump's following is weak among women, young conservatives and people with strong Christian values," Forbes reported.

Just 28.4 percent of the bombastic billionaire's followers are women and 11.5 percent are users with strong Christian values. Meanwhile, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, a top evangelical candidate, leads the pack with just over 37 percent of his followers having communicated Christian values on Twitter while Florida Sen. Marco Rubio carries the most female followers, 43.7 percent, and college students, 14.4 percent.

Trump also lags behind in the number of followers he's attracted who hail from early primary states. According to the study, only 0.9 percent of the New York businessman's followers are located in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.

Despite trailing behind some GOP candidates with his following across certain demographics, Trump maintains the greatest online reach of any Republican candidate with 3.72 million Twitter followers — due in no small part to his celebrity status.

According to his Twitter profile, Trump joined the popular social networking site in 2009 — the same year NBC relaunched the format of his television series, "The Apprentice," to include celebrity contestants. The business tycoon began building up his online following as a public figure long before entering the 2016 presidential race and presumably attracting more political folk.

Nevertheless, the 16 other Republican candidates still stagger behind Trump in terms of their online reach. The business tycoon has more than four times as many followers as Rubio, the GOP candidate with the second largest following on Twitter, and is less than half a million followers shy of tying with Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton.

Is this the best the leftie /libs could come up with?

This is just another in a long series of attempts to come up with something, anything, to try to prevent America from waking up.

Wake up, America. Time to revive from the long uniparty coma and take back our freedoms and our country.

After Trump crudely put Kelly in her place [he's on wife #3; does he put women in their place at home too?], we felt the female support for him would back down.

The sound you heard was that of millions of women across the country, tired of a scrawny metrosexual of color (SMOC) in the White House, suddenly beginning to tingle at the sight and sound of a alpha male.

If the left wants to concede (they don't, but that's another story) ALL of the abortions not due to rape or incest, that's a HUGE win.

It is time to stop playing defense against the forces of Hell.

A LOT of the cultural ills fall out from feminism, which is used to destroy the nuclear family.

All of the sociologists' studies -- and recall how left-leaning they all are -- show that most social pathologies are far more prevalent, in children raised without a father.

To eliminate that problem, we need to tackle single motherhood, and on-a-whim (She's not haaaaaaaaaaapy) divorce.

To eliminate those, we need to enable slut shaming: to the point that young WOMYN don't go around spreading their legs.

And women are sluts, because they feel that THEY. HAVE. OPTIONS. (Like abortion, for instance.)

So let's gladly claim the 98% (as the feminists would have you believe).

Because then, when a woman cries "Rape!" we can ask insist on DNA testing, rather than take her word for it.

And when the young man accused, is *proved* not to be the father?

That takes out the "rape culture" mantra, and puts the onus back on the lying slut.

Sure. I mean, who knows who'se serious on Twitter or FB---we know that 1/3 of Hillary's numbers are purely fictional, and Rush has said that they have traced the twitter attacks on him to fewer than 10 people using algorithms.

I think Trump's new numbers, especially are real. I think he's adding about 150,000-200,000 a week of people interested in politics and I think no one else comes close.

I bet the number of dems who would “jump the broom” and vote for him is astronomical. Many , many are like my sweet mother who only let go of her “traditional democratic” notions for the last 2 elections. Her eyes were opened and she realized she really was a flaming conservative after the realities of liberalism hit her. I really believe many dems have been longing for the same end to the idiocy of their party. They remember a time when the everyday, average working person voted democratic to protect his or her way of life. These people hate the bizarre, convoluted thinking that is central to the democratic party platform. Liberals are mean people. My mother didn't like mean people.

Donald is saying what a lot of dems have been thinking too. He's been causing many to rethink liberal rhetoric on both sides. I'm a Cruz supporter but Donald is a game changer on a scale of importance not ever seen. Historians are taking careful notes. ("You mean Ronald Reagan, the actor???" Back To the Future, 1985)

“According to data collected by the social analytics company, Macromeasures, just 39.4 percent of the real estate mogul’s Twitter followers are members of the voting-eligible population, as first reported by Forbes. “

In other words, a totally bogus “report”. There is no way to know on social media who is who.

Tingle at the site of Trump? Is that what you're saying? Oy, vey...

I think of the Marines in my husband's family, guys who would throw their coats down for any lady [whether she acts like one or not], and that's why I don't understand fully the female support for Trump. He's loud and boisterous and grabs one's attention; I'll say that, but I wonder just what he plans to do to attempt to upright this nation regarding the deep dark hole we've dug ourselves through abortion and now SS "marriage." [Especially, when he doesn't even figure in the children conceived from rape/incest. This is a big deal; it shows he doesn't fully understand the ravage damage from abortion to not just the baby, but the mother as well.]

A *lot* of the excitement over Trump is from the more moderate "I've always voted Democrat because FDR" cultural democrats (akin to the "hand-me-down" Lutherans or Catholics, only politically).

Given what most Dem candidates are like (and given what a milquetoast mantled Obama was, despite Lena Dunham's "vote like it's your first time" ad implied)...
or, look at Pajama Boy...

when do you think the last time was, these Democrat women have ever *seen* a real man?

Only Twits twitter. There is too much emphasis placed on its skewed value by campaign staffs as a means of predicting political positioning trends.

Not broadly based it’s relied on and used mainly within a select younger age group who have the time to spend on it and are more interested in self recognition and acceptance which is usually driven by MSM particularly through its use of polling.

The only value it does seem to have is it offers an insight into developing a wider distribution of camapaign material offering counter measures either through print or visual means .

How silly that is.

Life goes on. The vote isn’t today, or tomorrow or next month.

How much Trump can people take?

I guess we’ll find out.

It has also been heard the Trump tripped Carly as she was coming down the Stairs. Interesting that when he does trip certain candidates, those particular candidates are defended by certain locals. The article posted should continue on to exactly how many ‘voters’ are legal throughout the land. This information here is just propaganda to frighten Trumpeters and cause chaos. Frankly, the man is helping all of us make our decision so that we will be aware of what is going on around us. This JMHO and I stick to it. How many, thus far have fallen due to trump? Shall we count them?

That must be a very depressing task..to follow them on Twitter. The article appearing earlier this week was certainly a bomb -it showed exactly where the Wash Examine stood. Et tu Brute? Right beside FOX news and Irksome Eric. How many more rinos with C sweatshirts will be outed? My guess would be countless -consider DC, NY,media, local, and everywhere in between. The Donald is cleaning the tent before beginning the task he hopes to accomplish.(MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN”
