What is often unreported from that day is each tower had about 40,000 people working in them, or is that the figure for both, I forget.
So if it’s the lower number that leaves about 37,000 saved, the higher figure 77,000
Granted the men didn’t get that many to leave, but their presence caused many to escape.
I remember when the book came out, we all had to read it.
