But just getting We The People to agree hey, we really don’t want to lie down for this, is half the battle. Then the politics including, as necessary, changes in court makeup (to the conservative) and constitutional amendment, can come within reach.

Yes, it is, and exactly that was happening in Arizona when the judges threw their monkey wrench into the mix.
Our problem is in the judiciary, and until it is cleaned up with impeachments, nothing is going to improve.
