Although New York real estate mogul Donald Trump has to report for jury duty just like everybody else, it is no mundane ordeal, especially for fellow potential jurors.

"God, I hope I'm not in the [same] box as him,” one of them told ABC News today. “I am as far away from him politically as I can get."

If he is selected — he will certainly be the foreman.

If the defendant is Hispanic, DT will almost certainly be excused.

Must be a conservative.

Trump filed with his fellow New Yorkers into the jury room at 60 Centre St., the location featured on TV show “Law and Order.” Once inside, Trump first took a seat in the front row with his security detail sitting right behind him, then moved to the second to last row. Most New Yorkers inside ignored the Donald, though a couple did ask to take selfies with him. He was also asked by sketch artists Shirley and Andrea Shepard to sign two court sketches of himself.

As he walked back into the courtroom after a 10 minute break, one man yelled out “Save this country, will you?”

He won’t be selected nor should he.

No celebrity or public figure should ever sit on a jury. Its asking for a mistrial.

Did’t George W. Bussh show up for jury duty a few weeks ago?

Bottom line, Trump won’t have to serve.

Yes people in the jury room were taking selfies with W, and he was good natured about it.

‘No Special Treatment’

Then they’re acting like idiots. Of course he should get special treatment - and both the PA and defense attorney’s are going to demand it.

funny. i seem to remember Sarah Palin had a summons for jury duty just as they were in the middle of the campaign.

it’s almost as if someone wanted to stop the campaign in it’s tracks.

if they’re really freaked by him, they’ll make sure he ends up getting sequestered

"God, I hope I'm not in the [same] box as him,” one of them told ABC News today. “I am as far away from him politically as I can get."

And this just summarizes what wrong with the polarization in this country. What the hell does it matter what his politics are for jury duty?!

I know, it’s crazy to be this polarized. Next time I’m on jury duty, I’m going to ensure I sit in the conservative area. They do have the areas clearly marked don’t they?

When I was called for jury duty a few years back the lawyers for the plaintiff made it pretty clear they DID NOT want any conservatives sitting in that box. The asked us multiple questions like do you listen to talk radio personalities like Rush, Howie Carr, Jay Severn, etc.
They did not want anybody that would be capable of analytical thought. They were suing a generic drug manufacturer and asking for $20 million. They won. My number was never called. However, I made sure that they would not want juror #33 in that box.
