The EPA claims its Clean Power Plan will end up saving lives from reducing air pollution, but a new report by a free market energy group warns the agency’s global warming rule will end up killing more than it saves.

“The EPA’s climate rule has no discernible impact on climate change and may cause thousands of premature deaths in the United States,” according to a recent report by the free market Institute for Energy Research (IER). “The EPA relies on faulty data to make exaggerated claims about the benefits of a rule that will cost Americans hundreds of billions of dollars and plunge millions of families into poverty.”

(In print format to avoid the obnoxious ads at daily caller.)"...a rule that will cost Americans hundreds of billions of dollars and plunge millions of families into poverty.”" Uh, to the powers that be, this is a way to make even more people dependent on the govt for their well being. And, just wait until it turns out the the cooling issue is the one we need to worry about and not warming.

There’s a new book out...”The End of Doom” by Ronald Bailey. He does a four-star job at explaining all the different ‘doom’ scenarios and how the original predictions (going back to the 1960s and up to the recent decade)....have all been about ninety-nine percent failed predictions. There’s roughly one percent of things that did occur.

The book came out in the last two weeks and makes for interesting reading (on my e-book reader). I’d advise Free Republic readers to pick it up and go through it. He cites tons of references and quotes, and gives four-star explanations to how the predictions failed.

We are an evolving society, with innovation and change occurring constantly now. Sadly, all of these scientist go with the premise that mankind cannot change and what numbers or facts exist in 1978...will be the trend. As Bailey shows over and over....we are beyond that type of society. We are continually shifting and going beyond the expectations of scientists.

The courts have already ruled on this.

In 2010, lawsuits were filed over Obama's first set of CO2 Regs. In this lawsuit, the EPA's Endangerment Findings on CO2 were challenged. In 2012, the DC Court of Appeals upheld EPA's endangerment findings.

In the appeal to that decision, SCOTUS declined to hear that part of the case dealing with the endangerment findings, allowing the DC courts decision to stand.

"The EPA relies on faulty data to make exaggerated claims about the benefits of a rule that will cost Americans hundreds of billions of dollars and plunge millions of families into poverty.”

In other words they lied.

I'm shocked!

As I recall a law was passed during the GW Bush administration that required the regulatory bodies to cost justify their new regs. How could regulation that make it more cost effective to shutdown most of the operating coal plants be cost effective.

If they’re dead they won’t be creating CO2.

So you see, it all kinda works for them.

Reality’s not the issue to democrats. They benefit from the doom and gloom lies. It’s self serving.

I suspect many on that side know they’re pushing lies...

The EPA is not concerned with how many they can kill, but, how many they can, hypothetically, save.
