Colorado Governor Refuses to Investigate Planned Parenthood Clinic Caught Selling Aborted Babies

A Denver, Colorado-based Planned Parenthood abortion clinic was caught on an undercover video dissecting aborted babies to sell their body parts for research. The abortion facility is one of three across the nation to be profiled in a series of undercover videos showing how the abortion business sells aborted babies and their body parts.

While officials in Texas have launched an investigation there after another Planned Parenthood in that state was caught selling aborted babies, Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper refuses to investigate the abortion giant.

Leading pro-life groups in Colorado like Colorado Citizens for Life and Colorado Family Action are calling on the governor to investigate and to end the funneling of millions of dollars in taxpayer funding to the abortion business.

Today, Alliance Defending Freedom authored a second letter to Colorado’s governor, speaker of the house, and senate president asking for an investigation of Planned Parenthood and an immediate end to taxpayer funding of the abortion giant.

The first letter was sent in July amidst controversy concerning Planned Parenthood’s apparent sale of baby body parts and its Colorado affiliate’s negligence in reporting the rape of a minor.

“American tax dollars should only be used to foster the health and well-being of women—not as part of Planned Parenthood’s barbaric baby parts sale scheme,” said ADF Legal Counsel Natalie Decker. “America does not need Planned Parenthood, which is only used by a very small minority of women. Women are better served by the numerous community health clinics that care about women instead of an organization that puts its bottom line first and manipulates abortion procedures in order to obtain viable baby body parts to sell.”

“It is simply false to suggest that withdrawing State or Federal funds from Planned Parenthood would deprive women of critical family planning services,” the ADF letter explains. “Planned Parenthood serves very few women. According to its own statistics, 98 percent of all women who seek family planning services never set foot inside a Planned Parenthood facility in a given year.”

“Colorado has many low-cost, high-quality community health centers and other non-abortion performing clinics available to serve women,” the letter continues. “These facilities can be trusted with our hard-earned money. Planned Parenthood, caught negotiating the sale of baby body parts, not only cannot be trusted, it should not be trusted. For these reasons, Coloradans should not subsidize this scandal-plagued billion dollar corporation.”

“The undercover videos expose the potential illegality of Planned Parenthood’s actions, and the grisly, inhuman nature of their business,” added ADF Senior Counsel Michael J. Norton. “You don’t have to be a pro-life advocate to see that Planned Parenthood doesn’t deserve a penny of our taxpayer dollars.”

The letters follow a with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies on behalf of Colorado Family Action against a Rocky Mountain Planned Parenthood abortionist and another employee. The complaint came after after Cary Smith, of Federal Heights, discovered that clinic staff failed to inquire or report about suspected sexual abuse of her thirteen-year-old daughter after giving her an abortion.

According to information obtained from a recently settled civil lawsuit, the two employees failed to comply with Colorado law by not reporting the sexual abuse of a 13-year-old girl, performed an abortion on the girl without giving notice to her parents, and returned her to the custody of the sexual predator, who continued to sexually molest her.

In May 2012, the sexually abused girl’s parent filed their civil lawsuit in Denver District Court against Rocky Mountain Planned Parenthood for failing to report the sexual abuse, which the girl’s stepfather began committing when she was only six. When the child, known in court documents as “R.Z.,” became pregnant, the stepfather took her to Planned Parenthood, where, without her mother’s knowledge or consent, Planned Parenthood performed an abortion on May 3, 2012. Planned Parenthood then returned the child to the sexual predator, who continued the abuse.

One Rocky Mountain Planned Parenthood employee admitted in a deposition in the civil suit that “being 13 and pregnant alone is not a red flag” for the organization. According to court documents, no Planned Parenthood employee inquired into the nature of the girl’s relationship with the predator or about potential abuse even though she is a minor. The step-father has since been convicted and incarcerated for his crimes.

“Colorado law mandates the reporting of known or suspected abuse of minors, yet Planned Parenthood made no such report,” ADF Legal Counsel Natalie Decker explained. “Tragically, had any of their employees made a call to authorities the day they saw this 13-year-old girl with her abuser, as Planned Parenthood is legally obligated to do, her abuse would have ended that day.”

“Colorado law further requires that written notice be provided to parents of a minor before any abortion is performed, yet in this instance, the child’s mother was unaware of the abortion until more than two months after it had occurred,” Decker added.

The undercover footage catches the Vice President and Medical Director of Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains (PPRM) in Denver, Colorado, Dr. Savita Ginde. PPRM is one of the largest and wealthiest Planned Parenthood affiliates and operates abortion clinics and abortion referral centers in Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, and Nevada.

Standing in the Planned Parenthood abortion clinic pathology laboratory, where the bodies of babies are brought after abortions, Ginde concludes that payment per organ removed from an aborted baby will be the most beneficial to Planned Parenthood: “I think a per-item thing works a little better, just because we can see how much we can get out of it.”

The sale or purchase of human fetal tissue is a federal felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison or a fine of up to $500,000 (42 U.S.C. 289g-2), though the law is riddled with loopholes that essentially allow such sales.

The second part of the new video catches Dr. Katherine Sheehan, Medical Director emerita of Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest in San Diego, who describes her affiliate’s long-time relationship with Advanced Bioscience Resources, a middleman company that has been providing aborted fetal organs since 1989.

She says: “We’ve been using them for over 10 years, really a long time, you know, just kind of renegotiated the contract. They’re doing the big government-level collections and things like that.”

Not surprising. Governor Chickenloofa is a democrat, right?

He’s probably received tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of dollars from Planned Infanticide during his political career.

Manhating feminazis pour a lot of money into democrat coffers. Plus they get vicious when they don’t get their way.

Notice how Gov Chickepooper is covering up the EPA hazardous spills on the Animas river and the destruction of the coal industry while Sorros buys up the coal industry.

Don't blame California for Colorado, they worked extra hard to pave their own road to hell! Just like Washington, Oregon and a whole mess of others, people have to take responsibility for their own failings unless they're..................demoncraps.

Hey Hickenlooper, why don't you investigate the EPA for polluting the Animas river?

Colorado has a real RAT POS for a Governor, and the lib papers love him. Kansas has a conservative Republican Governor, and the commie editors hate him and lie about him every day.

Oh, what a tangle web we weave:

John Hickenlooper Says He’s Too Old To Be Hillary Clinton’s VP

Tina Brown, the editor of Newsweek and The Daily Beast recently endorsed a Clinton-Hickenlooper ticket. “It’s not gonna happen,” the Colorado governor says.

-----

While Platte River Networks has ties to Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, it wasn’t immediately clearly how the company got hooked up with the former secretary of state and Democratic presidential front-runner, the Daily Mail said.

Don't blame California for Colorado

The whole liberal northeast and rust belt has moved to Colorado. It is not just California.

The Money in Colorado put two time loser Beauprez up, and the Tancredo hating republicrat primary voters listened to them. So we have 4 more years of Hickenlooper.

Tancredo would have arrested these ghoulish "doctors" himself.

Colorado was an odd state last November.

One one hand, they tossed out Mark udall and replaced him with Cory Gardner for US Senate.

On the other hand, they kept a nitwit like Hickenlooper and wouldn’t replace him with someone much better like Bob Beauprez for Governor.

I can’t quite figure that one out...
