Yes, indeed. And we saw Carly defending the constitutional-amendment claptrap tonight on Fox, and she’s as obviously wrong as O’Reilly. EVERYthing hinges on the unparenthetical clause, “and subject to the jurisdiction thereof.” Illegal aliens cannot possibly confer U. S. citizenship on their U. S.-born children simply by birthing them here. Not even LEGAL visitors to the U. S. (students, diplomats, foreign consultants, you-name-it, WITH VALID U. S. VISAS)can confer U. S. citizenship on their U. S.-born children! Is it possible that there’s some clause in the Monroe Doctrine that confers this privilege exclusively to south-of-the-border western hemisphereans? If so, the 14th Amendment failed to incorporate it.
Levin’s going to be talking about this on Hannity tonight. I HOPE he’s able to set that network straight.

A fence does NOTHING when they are being brought in on DHS trucks by the burro-load! These illegals are being brought right up the middle of Main Street, like the postman bringing bad news, and the government is doing it with YOUR money!

All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.
Note the bit about “and subject to the jurisdiction thereof ...”. Do you really believe this refers to your mere presence in the U.S.? That's what current law tells us. But, if so, why is the jurisdiction phrase there? Leave it out and you get the same rule.
People coming across the border illegally are subject to our laws but not to our jurisdiction. They are subject to the jurisdiction of Mexico or Guatemala or wherever they came from. That is, I believe, Trumps position and mine as well.
What amazes me about O’Reilly is that with regard to birthright citizenship everything is impossible and nothing can really be done. These media types seem so unprepared and ignorant.
The reason Trump resonates is that he knows how to turn the impossible into the possible.

Ann Coulter writes that the idea that the children of illegals should be given birthright citizenship came from the Leftist Supreme Court Justice Brennan in a footnote he wrote in a 1982 opinion. That unconstitutional footnote has cost U.S. taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars spent on people who have no right to be in our country.
Uncle Sap will have the entire world squatting here, eating the seed corn of our nation while the children of our citizens attend overcrowded schools populated by non-English speaking students, many of them gang members and trouble makers because their chances of success are slim.
That won't work, either, because Americans (including me) are cowards living off government largess, in one way or another. They won't raise a finger that isn't grabbing another Cheeto.

The professor said there has never been a Supreme Court case that upholds birthright citizenship of illegals. Congress has the power to define citizenship.

I read an article today that Trump and Cruz may campaign together. Boy! That has all kinds of meaning. If that were true and they worked out the details those two would control about 40% of the primary voters.
That would give them the nomination. Game over!
You are absolutely right. Trump is a big believer in “leverage” and I do not see him hesitating to use the toughest leverage on his opponents to crush the. Trump is all about leverage,leverage,leverage.

While I agree with all of this, I should point out that Barack Obama's father was here on a student visa and his mother was too young to confer citizenship. By this definition, Barack Obama was never supposed to be an American citizen.
For that reason alone, liberals will never accept this because of its retroactive implications. Nothing can be done to change the past, but it will taint the future of Obama even more.
