Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump clarified his remarks that he gets military advice from watching television in an interview broadcast on CNN on Wednesday.

After interviewer Chris Cuomo stated, that Trump, “you get a lot of your military analysis from watching television.” Trump responded, “See, I didn’t exactly say that.” He explained that he watches interviews with military experts on other shows and that he reads news sources such as the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and TIME Magazine. Alone with magazines and “lots of other newspapers.”

President Trump will need only some very basic military advice, which is: if our terrorist enemies make one itty bitty move in our direction, we bomb the living shiite out of ‘em.

And if we catch Mexican cartel narco-terrorists inside our borders, we effin’ shoot to kill on sight. No warning shots, we shoot ‘em graveyard dead.

I believe he was alluding to the fact that Obola never knows anything, he learned about it at the same time as we did from the news media, and nobody is more outraged than him.

I believe you are correct. The only thing Barky is focused on is destroying our Nation, watching the NBA playoffs, and hitting the golf course at every opportunity, and Trump knows it.

I will bet that Mr. Trumps rules of engagement will be very different from Obama-Bush-Clinton.

Trump: I Don’t Just Get Military Advice From TV, I Would Have a Policy Team In White House

Translation: "I got caught off-guard by a legitimate question of substance and wasn't able to blab my way out of it, so I gave a stupid answer and now I'm trying to do some damage control by telling the toadies what they want to hear me say, knowing full well that they'll forget the first thing I said that was stupid beyond belief and remember only what I say now and in the future for as long as it takes for me to come up with an intelligent response."

No charge for the translation service.

Obama has access to many generals... lots of expert advice... and look at the mess we're in...

Chris Cuomo did an ABC special on global warming a few years back... about how Manhattan would be UNDER WATER by 2015...

Yes, experts matter...but the brains to choose experts who aren't idiots matters too... On that Trump wins hands down.

Well to be truthful, he did say in that interview that he also talks to Ambassador Bolton and General Jacobsen. Not just newspapers.

You are absolutely correct. Unfortunately for our Nation, instead of listening to our generals and admirals, Obama forced many of them OUT because they wouldn’t rubber stamp his treasonous policies. In my opinion, the best move that President Trump could make so far as military advisers are concerned, is to invite and urge retired General Peter Pace, USMC and former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs to come out of retirement and either resume the Chairmanship OR to serve as his National Security Adviser. Pace is one of the most moral and honorable men to serve in the past 20 years and his dedication to his men is legendary.

I couldn’t have said it better myself.

As proof that you are correct, just look at his immigration position paper released just Sunday.

Have you ever seen anything that shouts ‘just shot from the hip’ as that paper? I mean, how shallow, without serious thought given.

We need more translations from you.

In his defense, he’s not a Washington insider. He’s a civillian with limited access to upper echelon military advisors. He has, however, built a $10 billion empire. None of the other candidates have even come close to such an accomplishment. as such, he has demonstrated personal competence and intelligence and the ability to surround himself with competent and intelligent advisors. I really don’t care what his answers are at this point. he doesn’t even have to answer the questions AFAIC. He can just sit there and smile and I’m still going to support him.
