Now, it's a hell hole.

HS graduation rate...less than 50%. Can't even imagine.

For 2010 ...

• New York City: 64.2 percent
• Buffalo: 52.8 percent
• Syracuse: 51.1 percent
• Rochester: 43.4 percent

I was born and raised in the NYC area. Just weeks before the riots, my family moved here (I was still in HS) ironically, to get away from the crime and violence.
This was my mother's home town, with history going back to the 1880s.
After the riots, and after the first couple of winters here, I swore I wouldn't live in Rochester.
Fifty one years later ... still here.
