Much to my husband's chagrin. He swore Trump would never make it that far and if he had a choice, Trump would NOT have made it this far. He thinks Trumps a blowhard and is going to say something that would cost the Republican's the election and put Hillary in the WH. But so far Trump has been bullet-proof despite his blunders and Hillary is looking pretty bad.... I doubt she'll make it but I doubted Trump would either so we'll have to wait and see.
I do not believe that Hillary will be the front runner, thanks to “server gate.” She is pretty much is TOAST.
There’s something off about those numbers.
First, there’s no way that PA is going to be in play.
Second if FL and OH are in play you’d see the trending there reflected in the national numbers. If PA actually was in play you’d definitely see the same trending nationally.
Now there might be a lag between the two (since Trump is clawing his way up nationally), but these are some really big numbers in terms of difference. Bush almost at the crucidl 50% mark in FL with Hillary 11 points behind.
Trump reflects a growing anger among Americans.
See post #24.
Enough people out there are now pissed off enough at both politicians and the press that they just don’t buy that verbal gaffes, or petty scandals (as defined by the media) matter.
Thats why Trump is bulletproof. Lots of people actually LIKE that he’s completely upending the game and sending politicians, talking heads, reporter and activists into apoplectic fits with his style.
Nope. They would, if they had to, prop up Jeb. But they TRULY hate Republicans.....even a “moderate” like Jeb.
The Florida media did their best to boost Charlie Crist after Crist turned Democrat.
For 2016 the Florida media would do their BEST to put whoever the Democrat nominee is.....not a scintilla of objective journalism. Most of the reporters in Miami want to be in LA or New York.
I tend to agree with you. My support is for Walker if the primary was today.
But on the other hand, I really don’t recall anything like the Trump phenom....but it is still early.
My ultimate position is that this nation is hurtling—not slouching—toward Gomorrah. A spiritual awakening is needed in a very big way, and NO single person is going to truly help without that as a reality.
The Republican nominee, whoever it turns out to be, should flood America with this picture during the campaign (assuming The Beast gets the dem nomination).
Of all the issues that any Republican faces, the number one issue -- by a Country Mile -- is Media Bias.
McCain was suckered by it. They pretended to love him, then crushed him like a bug.
Romney was swept away by it, and never uttered as much as a peep of protest.
Gingrich understood it but for some reason folded in Florida before he could make good use of his understanding.
95% of all Republicans are either to scared or too stupid to even try to deal with it.
But Trump... Trump is the judo master who takes the media punch and flips them onto their backs on the floor.
I guess Mark Steyn was in with the National Review crowd who fell for the myth of Romney’s electability.
To those here who think Trump is being un-presidential or unprofessional in his tactics, they should bear this in mind.
True.
I’m not convinced that Trump will either get the nomination or is even the best candidate for the job. Yet.
But Trump IS changing the game (see the other thread) to something thats much more favorable to us.
I look at it this way: imagine a school thats dominated by a bully. New kid shows up, the bully sees a fresh target but it’s the bully that gets the cr*p kicked out of him and stuffed in a locker. At the hands of the new kid.
Changes the whole dynamics of the school.
Thats what Trump is doing right now. People are fed up with the bullying of the SJWs and Trump is the new kid who’s standing up to them and putting them in their place.
And Trump’s example is going to encourage others to do the same. So while as you say no one man can do it alone, one man CAN set a leadership example for others to follow.
I agree.
Mark Steyn is an analomy ... kinda like Ann Coulter ...
some days he’s great ... and the next day absolutely wretched ...
He set-out to scuttle Newt Gingrich’s Florida primary success in 2012 ...
Mitt was very pleased ...
and once again ... the GOPe triumphed ...
“Those are the facts ...”
