Two women have become the first to graduate from Army Ranger School. Therefore, women should be integrated into combat units. That's the "logic" we're hearing.

"What's left here now would be the barriers about our social perceptions."
Gee, that was easy! At least, if your goal is to feminize the military. But let's say that the goal is combat mission accomplishment with minimal casualties. Now you have to start taking into account all sorts of pesky factors that two women graduating from a physically tough course doesn't address.

It’d have two outcomes, the first is certain, the second probable, neither of which would be bad.

But yet there are male and female standards on the current Army Physically Fitness Test...
A retired Army officer once told me that when they would get the “bug out” order; the women in the outfit did not have the upper body strength to be able to load up all the equipment that had to be loaded. So - time ran out & they couldn’t finish bugging out, so they didn’t. - Daddy was a WWII infantryman in the worst of it. He stated that at first, there were a few obvious homosexuals in basic; but that they did not last. It wasn’t that they were harassed; it’s just that THEY COULD NOT HACK IT! Furthermore, the servicemen meant business. They didn’t have time for any nonsense or frivolity; were headed up Italy into Germany ready to take it to Hitler & ram it up his nose. Daddy said when they finished basic, they were prepared to “charge Hell with a bucket of water” & that’s exactly what they did. War is Hell.
You'll just have to take the word of the two star CG who walked patrol with them...you know, to ensure that standards were maintained by having the male students build privacy screens for the rangerettes in the patrol base.
My only reservation is, that having raised my son to esteem women, he might forget for a split second that the game is changed in a combat zone, and be killed.

Anyone that believes physical AND MENTAL standards were not lowered to let these two Army officers pass the Ranger course are not playing with a full deck. They “passed” because the Army Chief of Staff knows if a couple of women didn’t pass he’s out of a job.
The only service so far that has said the truth against this ridiculous notion of thinking women are qualified for Special Operations is the Marines. But I’ve read he’ll be strong-armed into accepting women into not only the infantry but Force Recon. He either gets with the program or his career is finished. Same thing goes for the Seals. If you value your career you had better have a couple of woman become Seals. The mission be damned. Combat readiness be damned. It’s all about making Barry happy.
First point. I congratulate these two women for successfully complete Ranger School, most men could never have done it.
Second point. Ranger School is a Leadership school, the physical demands and Ranger patrolling environment is a set of conditions designed to push the students beyond their limits of physical and mental capabilities in order to teach leaders how to deal with this limitations. These female students were certainly pushed beyond their limits and they overcome the overwhelming desire to quit. They didn’t quit.
Third point. These peacetime surrogates for the grueling challenges of combat will make these officers better officers, but the demands of the social activists extend beyond the training ground. They demand that combat units, including Special Operations units must embrace females within their ranks in the cause of Social Justice. In this case, social justice will get both men and women killed, and those who demand that our society adapt to their wishes will not be among those who are killed. They want nothing to do with this dirty business and they expect others to do the dying for their political agendas.
Fourth point. Combat sucks and mostly because of the daily grind on your physical and mental limits. Combat is a team sport and those who engage in it are only as good as the weakest member of the team. Paleolithic man, who had never enjoyed an Ivy League education, were not stupid to send their weakest members of the tribe to bring down the Mastodon or the Sabre Tooted Tiger. They were assigned to critical tasks suited to their capabilities and thereby the tribe flourished. Fantasy worlds are nice, but they do not apply when the enemy doesn’t care about your campus sense of social justice.
Obama has been purging the top military brass of anyone who doesn’t share his liberal outlook.

Actually I should say playing in the NFL except for place kickers. I don’t see any reason why a woman could not kick extra points but why waste a position for a player who could not also kick long field goals?
