Donald Trump Says Global Warming Is a Hoax
weupit ^ | August 21, 2015 | James Planas

Donald Trumps winning position among Republican presidential candidates in Iowa’s CNN/ORC poll should prompt us to pay more attention to what he really says and does. And it’s not about some controversial comments that provide him with the cover page of a national news magazine, but words which can show us his true opinions on the most important national and global issues. One of these matters is the subject of global warming, and if you agree that it truly exists, you won’t be happy to know what Trump has to say.

urnalists from Think Progress took a look at the billionaire’s Twitter account and discovered that he expressed his views on global warming issues 44 times since 2011 when he established his profile- @realDonaldTrump. One could say it’s not a significant number if you consider an important public person talking about a global issue. The problem is, however, that all those tweets were spinning around one major topic…the weather is cold today, so global warming is a hoax. Quite a simplistic perspective for someone who actually could become the president of the most powerful country in the world.

Trump is a man of action, he is not content with mere words. He is a staunch opponent of wind energy and most recently he has been fighting with the court in Edinburgh (Scotland) where he recently filed a complaint about a wind energy project approval that is very close to his newly built golf course. Unfortunately for him, the complaint was rejected in June 2015 and he can expect the wind farm to be constructed there very soon. As a response, he said he might sell the resort as soon as the turbines are installed. When the whole issue started in 2012, he forecasted that a tourism breakdown in Scotland would be caused by windmills. In his opinion, all tourists would rather flee to Ireland instead.

Trump says windmills are destroying every country they touch — and the energy is unreliable and terrible. The fact that wind energy covered 98% of the Scotland’s needs in 2014 does not seem to be a convincing argument for him.

Trump is not the only conservative politician who is so reluctant to consider global warming to be a fact. Actually, the whole palette of Republican presidential candidates is going along with such opinions. It is enough to mention here Ted Cruz, who compared himself to Galileo, said that global warming extremists “flat-Earthers.”

As the subject of climate change is hardly present on the Republican agenda, it might make some worry should they take over the White House in 2016. For the time being, it seems that environmentalists and like-minded people will have to wait and see how Democrats respond and support global warming issues.

” manmade” global warming is a hoax or worse
“ global warming” seems to be based on faulty science since
other reports suggest we are heading for global cooling

” climate change” is a fact

and is happening on every planet in the solar system

We need an honest political leader and fast
The Pope needs to be given a nice dinner and sent home
with no pledge of a U.S. carbon tax to be sent to the global elites to
distribute to historically unproductive nations

I reckon he got them from this...

I make no claims for accuracy

We reached our latest temperature maximum 7,000 years ago. Right after coming out of the recent ice age. Temps have been slowly falling since then with short term peaks and drops. And now we have broke the greatest Antarctica ice extant in recorded history, two out of the past three years. Nothing but cold lies ahead. That is not simplistic. It is science and it is fact.

Talk about talking without knowing all the facts....

If you look at the “solution’ for global warming - the UN treaty, recently proposing to replace agenda 21 with a document even more radical (Global marxist government over all nations), you will know global warming is a hoax.

They hoped to create so much fear, that people would all give over their nations to the UN for Marxist central planning, central bank power, centralized energy use control, water and land use/ownership, and redistribution of wealth - nation to nation. Americans know this “science” is far from settled. They have bought off the rich guys of the globe with the carbon trade scam. Algore is really hot for the trade market.

When the Marxist Pope comes to speak to Congress and the UN it will be hysteria over global warming and economic jealousy against the USA and Europe (using too much energy) and he’ll offer the UN solution that will save the earth and end all poverty and war on earth. Ha. Marxists are not known for peace. They are known for mass murder, shortages and mass starvation. Radicalism is supposed to be the Pope’s, Obama’s and the UN’s solution to global warming.

They is the UN government...and it also want to control your food, energy and water use. Centralize the means of production - energy - and the means of survival - money, work, food and water. The “solution’ to global warming is totally evil - Marxist.

Just wonder if he has very said anything about Global BS before? Was he for carbon credits when he might have made a buck off it?

He pulled his numbers from here.

http://www.wwf.org.uk/about_wwf/press_centre/?unewsid=7432

Unfortunately, he can’t do Math and speak English at the same time. Doh!

Scotland consumes approx. 25,873 Gigawatts of electricity annually, where 41% is domestic (10,607 Gigawatts), 59% is industry/commerce (15,265).

Electricity is ~ 20% of all energy consumed in Scotland. (Heat is ~ 55%. Transport is ~ 25%) Total energy consumed is ~ 145,000 Gigawatts.

Wind turbines produced ~ 8,958,130 Megawatts. That is ~ 84% of domestic electricty needs, ~ 35% of all electricity needs, and ~ 6% of all energy needs.

The genius has confused household usage (3,790 kilowatts × 2.4 million homes) with all of Scotland’s energy consumption.

Trump says windmills are destroying every country they touch — and the energy is unreliable and terrible. The fact that wind energy covered 98% of the Scotland’s needs in 2014 does not seem to be a convincing argument for him.

The real truth - for one month last year, the month of October, wind power met the 'residential' needs of Scotland.

So, it was last year, because October 2014 was 'last year'.

More real truth is that only 40% of Scotland's energy needs were met by 'renewables' last year, and I don't see a definition of 'renewable'.

You are correct. It should have listed “households” in the article.

That sounds like a steaming pile of BS to me. I'd bet the idiot is confusing installed capacity vs actual generation.

37% of power from alternative energy sources combined was the figure I last heard quoted.
