Here all along I thought is all about the price of SUGAR due to the Sugar lobby. Just like Hershey’s move to Mexico.
We pay over 2X the price for real sugar due to the Depression-era protection scheme for a few very rich/fat cat sugar daddies....
Everybody, raise your hand if you think the price of Oreo™’s will go down once they move that factory to Mexico?
But what if the sugar price support people are in cahoots with the Mexicans getting these manufacturing plants and jobs?
What if international firms provide money to lobby to keep sugar high in the US.
