This have been floating around for several days. I cannot imagine the Republican leads hip would be so incredibly stupid as to try this.

They do that and they better get ready for a third party run.

They also have an article about it, here.....

Loved this comment, from above link......

He doesn’t need to go Indy. He is well on his way to a hostile takeover. They let him in one debate already. Changing the rules after he is winning is offensive to the public. Telling him he has to give up his leverage after he is already there is no go. No one will watch their crappy debates without him. He already beat Megyn Kelly who was his number one foe in a debate. They think he isn’t going to beat a bunch of whiny functionaries who want to freeze out the biggest minority stockholder like Trump? They let Trump in now they have to deal with him. The do nothings and legacy idiots always scream loudest in a hostile takeover. If the Republicans had been winning the White House and/or successfully putting the brakes on Obama there would be no Trump. Impotence, dysfunction and no success brings hostile takeovers.

Even if Trump were to do this and come out ahead of everybody going into the nomination convention, the Vichy RNC would find a way to broker him out of the nomination.

Even if he were to somehow survive this and get a nomination, the Vichy RNC would not support him financially. You can take that to the bank.

Banning him would help him. He becomes he story. He has also kept his financial powder dry, and no one would hold it aagainst him if he responded by buying a half-hour of prime network time to frame his message as he sees fit.

Trump already showed what he would do when he held town meeting at same time Bush had his in New Hampshire. Trump will simply create an event to coincide with debate and suck the air out of the Republican debate.

They COULD ban him, but that would REALLY hurt their ratings. It’s like that Red State gathering, not having Trump there hurt everyone attending.

In fact, Trump should make them BEG to show up.

Reality check: The GOP needs Trump more than Trump needs them.

The Republicans need the conservative vote in 2016 or it’s curtains. In the past they have at least paid lip service to their base. Banning Trump means game over in 2016.

Just the fact they’re thinking about it, if true, only accelerates the GOP’s demise.

They still don’t get it.

The Donald should create a contract affirming he will not run as an Independent IF the NRC and the other eligible candidates will affirm that they will support him once he is nominated.

Printed Signature blocks for Reince Priebus, Chairman, RNC
and each remaining eligible Republican Republican Candidate.

Who of them would sign?

The RNC needs to ask itself, do the voters actually like them, or do the voters loathe and barely tolerate them? How do they really think a pissing match will really go, because I’m willing to bet the country likes Senator McCain a whole lot better than Reince Priebus, who probably ranks in most people’s minds as a step below a minion.

No they can’t, and no they don’t actually want to. Trump draws eyeballs, and in debate he draws them to the other candidates too.

Here’s my take:

Let’s say Trump stays on top during the primaries, and they see the nomination in his grasp. Here are the options for the RNC/GOPe/RINOs or whatever you call them:

1. Pass a new rule to an open ballot at the GOP convention, then threaten every delegate with campaign fund freeze out if they cast a vote for Trump on the floor.

2. Start packing GOP caucuses with democrats (I suspect they’ll try this anyway)

3. IRS audit of Trump or his family’s holdings.

4. Swating of the Trump offices (if you don’t know what ‘swating is’, google it)

5. Someone or something represented by Gloria Alred (they always whip this card out when they are desperate. No doubt she’s on the bench waiting)

6. Deny Secret Service protection, drop itinerary details to your Central american or tango from team jihad currently climbing a southern fence.

7. Give Secret Service protection, and insert “contractors-for-hire” within. Lookup “Plausible Deniability”.

8. Cause a mass causality incident; blame Trump’s rhetoric.

9. Come up with a reason he can’t get a security clearance, then run with it.

10. If none of the above works and Trump wins the nomination, either run a RINO as 3rd party, or the whole GOPe endorses the democrat nominee.

Oh, and BTW: To the enemies of America who are no doubt reading this and may be getting ideas, the way the political and economic climate is these days, ANY of these scenarios happening would probably ignite a 2nd civil war.

just my $02.
jimjohn - out.

Let them try. If they exclude him, who will even bother to watch?

If they try to pack the caucuses with Democrats, even that won’t work because half the Dems are going to vote for Trump too.

We could be headed for a blow-out.

Trump has a potentially viable strategy to win either way.

If the RNC is going to exclude Trump, they need to do it sooner rather than later for maximum effect - and it still probably won’t be enough to marginalize him.

The other candidates look like wimps (or worse) in comparison to Trump.

Trump’s immigration stance appeals to a sizable chunk of centrist democrats - key for a third party run - akin to “Reagan Democrats”

If the RNC excludes him at the last minute, he’ll get a sizeable chunk of “sympathy vote” and it will make him more palatable to some Democrats.

Down the line - if Trump continues to grow in popularity and the RNC excludes him, it may mean the end of the GOP, rather than the end of Trump.

I think what this is all about is this:

1..The GOPe isn't exactly to sure if they can put ‘their’ person in the White House....

2..The GOPe is wondering if this support we have for Trump is really real, or if we are just doing this because we don't like who the GOPe has running...

3..The GOPe is not that stupid to think that Trump would fall for something like this, he's probably already heard this crap weeks ago and has a plan...

4..If the GOPe is this stupid, all Trump would have to say to those of us that support him is that he is going to do his own debate on this channel at this time on this day, and would bury the GOPe once and for all....

Whoever this head honcho thinks he is of the GOPe, he's not very bright...he might think he's the one that walks on water, but in about a day and a half, he would find he is a little turd floating in the gutter of any city in the United States...

WE ARE TRUMP SUPPORTS, and you mess with us anymore than you mess with Trump!!!
