School leaders in Dickson County decided, after a summer of controversy surrounding the confederate flag, the wise thing to do would be to ban all flags and banners.
Some students are angry as they feel their patriotism is being compromised.
School leaders said there is a right and wrong way to show American pride:
"It's not an unpatriotic act by any means because we have a number of ways in which students do learn how to be patriotic and express American pride."

Like you’ve got to be taught to be patriotic?
I noticed a week or so back that a little kid who was competing on Jeopardy, had a tiny U.S. Flag pin on his coat.
I was surprised they allowed it. He won too.
And who decides which way is the right way?

you ain’t getting patriotism at home.
Might as well get it at school.

Who ever thought that an American flag would be something to sneak onto a school grounds, surreptitiously, like a secret identity token of a resistance member?

Why don't they stick to teaching Math, Science, Language e.t.c. instead of teaching how to be patriotic? I can only imagine what stupidity these people will come up with. Another opportunity to brainwash the kids to be lefties.
Time for some civil disobedience to counter this nonsense.

How about everyone show up with a US flag, a Confederate flag, and an Israeli flag?

This is actually good. Now the only way to rebel against the authority is to secretly wear or bring a flag. Like a parent telling a daughter to stay away from a certain boy. Now the district has made the US flag the forbidden fruit.
That said, no sane parent would send a kid to school there.
