Wearing their plastics and driving their cars to the protest...
The pipeline will originate in Dallas, Luzerne County, in northeastern Pennsylvania, and terminate at the Transco pipeline interconnection near Pennington, Mercer County, New Jersey.
Hundreds, eh?
Shouldn’t be to difficult to obtain their names and then confiscate their cars, cut-off the electricity to their homes, and otherwise eliminate all fossil-based energy sources from their miserable lives.
If yer gonna talk the talk, be ready to walk the walk.
I guess they want to pay more for heat in the winter.
They cannot stop fracking with lies and scare tactics, so they are trying to stop the infrastructure from enabling the transport of energy.
These are the same people who gave us the incompetent electrical grid we have today.
They block progress of anything they personally deem “dangerous” but will clear-cut mountaintops for wind turbines and litter the landscape with solar panels without blinking.
“Luddites...”
Including lots and lots of Democrat scu&bags.
IMHO
Many years ago, a young aspiring environmentalist called me. She did her save the world routine.
Then I asked her if she was wearing shoes...of course it was yes...were they leather?? Yes...then asked her how many pairs she had....maybe 20. Then said....I had one pair when I was your age.
Then asked her where she lived....and how she got here...plane of course.
It went on and on. I didn't make a friend that day....but she knew she was part of the "non-problem".
Philadephia itself spoils the natural environment and landscape.
There are two ways to move natural gas, pipeline or wheeled vehicles, either truck or train.
The gas will be moved, and the dumbass people that are protesting the pipe line should look at the trains that continue to bring the oil from Canada.
They will not stop the flow of product, they may alter the method of shipment, to their own detriment.
The Northeast is predominantly “oil-fired burner” country; that is why a NatGas line makes sense. Cheaper per BTU than #2 Oil, gas is more readily available and not as susceptible to market moves that can have #2 Oil stocks riding a see-saw.
Someone should break out a Platts map of existing pipelines in the US and join the march...
One notable trait of Marxists is that they claim to speak for everyone despite a) not knowing everyone, b) not having canvassed everyone for their opinion and c) usually ignoring the large portion of everyone who are opposed to the Marxist's views.
It’s called Filthadelphia for a good reason!
The usual hard-faced lefty along with a gormless teen who knows as much about fracking and natural gas as she does about trigonometry.
I see a single USACoE 401/404 water crossing just north of Wilkes-Barre (MLV #1 and Leidy Interconect). Is that the Delaware River? Really, this is their problem?
Piffle!
Gonna do some more research on the Bethlehem Lateral. If there an interconnect to Columbia Gas, that can raise further concerns (The Dirty Sisters).
Truck and train are very expensive ways of moving natural gas and rarely done. Inside the Lower 48, it is not normally done for large volumes.
