So they would prefer it go by railcar?
Incredibly valuable infrastructure.
They’ve seen Hollyweird movies about well-meaning outsiders fighting the good fight and getting deliciously persecuted for it by “the man.” Ooh, that’s the good life. A life full of meaning. These gals might even meet other gals of like-mind at their march, and fall in love!
They didn’t really like Sally Field, they just loved the ridiculous premise and maudlin union revenge fantasies of ‘Norma Rae.’
(and yes, I know her line came from ‘Absence of Malice.’)
I live in Western PA and every morning, 7 days a week, interstate 70, between the Turnpike and Washington, PA, a "train of semi-tankers" carrying natural gas covers the entire road.
It maybe expensive, but while the pipelines are being built, the gas is moved by tankers.
I believe the Delaware River is farther East and acts as the border between Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Moving it as CNG or LNG? What company?
Nice illustration.
Beyond the short term environmental impact there is also a tremendous economic impact that reaches throughout many sectors of the economy. For example, the steel pipe is manufactured then railed and trucked to several staging points along the pipelines route.
Access matting, typically made out of lumber is manufactured somewhere in North America and then trucked to the site. This lumber may be bought and sold by lumber brokers(like me)that supply the lumber to the access manufacturer.
The construction company may purchase new heavy equipment built by companies like Caterpiller, John Deere, etc.
Locally, workers may stay in hotels, motels and buy food in area grocery stores, sub shops, cafes, bars, etc. They will buy gasoline & diesel fuel. They will buy survey stakes.
The NIMBY effect always fails to recognize these impacts.
How many protested against Planned Parenthood a while back? Was it hundreds?
I used to frequent a union shop and a restaurant where plans were laid for protests. Actually met Fulani when she was running for VP on the CPUSA presidential ticket.
From the looks of it, few of these protesters have missed a meal or a Zumba class, and have no worries that their heating bill will get paid next winter.
LOL there’s always a few buses and a rent-a-mob on call at SEIU or MoveOn.
These are probably some of the usual protestors that show up at all the leftist rallies.
Ha, ha, I’ve heard it called “Filthadelphia”.
I don't know, never paid that much attention to the company logos on the trucks. If I see a trend, I'll let you know.
My guess is you are seeing LPG, not Natural Gas.
Thanks for the work involved in this report
I Love reading about Soild American infictrute.
Of course all these points will be lost on these truly mind numbed liberals.
I say next time a liberal brings this issue up to you, point out that Ancient Babylon used Asphalt in their buildings and roads.
You Know, Petroleum Based Products!
True LNG going OTRoad/OTRail is far and few between; highly regulated transport by the DOT, EPA and DoNRG.
My experience goes back to Savannah Terminal; here is a photo of the trans-oceanic ships for transport. I call them Boobs-boats.
I know the Wilkes-Barre area. It’s probably 60 miles from the Delaware. The city of Wilkes-Barre itself is on the Susquehanna River. And sometimes it’s IN the Susquehanna River.
