He becomes a force in the senate.
Does Texas have a sore loser law? if not he stays as senator.
Until and unless jbush and the kiddie table candidates go away before primaries, we do not have the two man race we would like.
As of today this primary is Trump vs jbush. All with no change in sight.

If you think, as I’ve argued here, that Trumpmania is more of a populist and anti-illegal-immigration phenomenon than it is an ideological phenomenon... They STILL don't get it.
Trump is about FAR MORE than just illegal alien invaders.

Cruz only has a chance if Bush is thouroughly annihilated and Trump would stumble. Otherwise, in my not so humble oppinion, he has staying power and negotiating power.
