Trump reignites Megyn Kelly feud with 'bimbo' tweet
The Hill ^ | 8/24/15 | N.Zimmerman

Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly returned Monday night to host The Kelly File following a 10-day vacation, but her extended R & R seemed to have no relaxing effect on her loudest critic: Donald Trump.

In a series of late-night tweets, Trump accused Kelly of being “off her game,” and suggested she “must have had a terrible vacation” because she was “afraid to confront” her guest, Dr. Cornel West, on the subject of immigration.

Trump followed up his tweets with a couple of retweets from supporters who called Kelly a “bimbo” and her show “a waste of an hour on Fox.”

“The bimbo back [sic] in town,” said one tweet, which Trump reposted into his own timeline. “I hope not for long."

The Republican front-runner’s infamous feud with Kelly -- sparked in the aftermath of the first GOP debate, which Kelly co-moderated — reached a crescendo shortly before her temporary leave of absence, when Trump made a comment appearing to reference menstruation as a reason for a line of questioning he believed was unfair.

Trump went on to suggest several times that Kelly’s vacation was ordered by higher-ups at the news station as a result of the fallout from their post-debate friction.

Fox News pushed back on those claims, saying the time off was scheduled months in advance.

Unfazed, Trump repeated his allegation tonight on Twitter.

"I liked The Kelly File much better without @megynkelly,” the businessman tweeted. "Perhaps she could take another eleven day unscheduled vacation!"

FOX is a big deal network, their top star with a world wide reach. Big star Kelly and a few others in a blatant attempt, tried to derail Trumps campaign for presidency. That's a real big deal. Besides Trump is probably hitting the hay and tweeted that for fun. He's got a great sense of humor.☺

Too bad she and the MSM turned something 26,000,0000 Americans were watching into a foul embarrassing spectacle.

Time to start acting like warriors instead of foppish milquetoasts.

Exactly so! Trump is your pet and Kelly is the rat you feed it. Those that won't understand should just eat their porridge in the corner with Yeb and leave the fighting to the rest of us.

That analogy is *ahem* more apropos for me than the average FReeper.

LOL

My dad used to sing that *at* me.

He also bugged me with the weird nursery rhyme about “Little Tom Toddy, all legs and no body” and frequently compared me to a Spring Peeper.

:)

Damn... what’s with the obsession?

Trump sounds more like a guy who was rejected for a date.

Very “presidential” of him.

“So Kelly got Trump in her head.”

And vice-versa. But only one of them is running for president.

I’d say the bullet points were misleading and made to seem inflammatory, since Trump would only “deport” the “good ones” to “expedite” their return as “legals”.

(I’d prefer the straight deportation myself.)

But I’m also trying to figure out what set Trump off.

The “deport all” is misleading, since he’d only have them go home to visit family before they received “expedited” legalization to return with proper papers.

(That, of course, is amnesty, which I am against, but it is his plan.)

I would wager to say that many around here didn’t see her less than great return to her show last night.
Trump did not attack Kelly. She attacked Trump on her show and he responded to that cheap attack she staged on her show.

He did not attack her first. Her behavior last night wasn’t good and her show was boring.

She has a Duggar obsession that is a real yawner.

If you had watched he show, you would know. Kelly deserved his response.

She and Chris Stirewalt spent about 10 minutes knocking Trump and making fun of him.

Thanks.

She was probably planning and building up for it over the last 11 days.

I just found a clip of the segment here:

Yeah, it was a total hit job.

” Perhaps if he wants to be President, he should show that he’s capable of acting like a President.”

He already has. He got Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi released from Mexcan prison.

How very unpresidential of him.

Huh? Trump had nothing to do with getting Tahmooressi released. He donated $25K to Tahmooressi after his release (and deserves kudos for doing so), but where are you getting that he was involved in the release itself?

It s really amazing how our side savages our candidates.

Did you see Jesse Watters segment on BOR last night? He was in New Hampshire asking people about Bernie Sanders and Hillary, socialism etc.

They were almost all for socialism, at least they think so. They had no idea of any candidates policies or beliefs.

But by God they are voting for democrats because wealth needs to be shared.

Our side? We want every last detail of some plan and we want our candidate to be a saint who smiles and is real nice acting.

We are gonna lose again because we and the GOPe will take out Trump and when he is gone they will take out Cruz.

Any more illegals here and we are over. Might as well sit home.

How Presidential. A real statesman.

Because playing nice has gotten us to where we are.....We need a president with the gonads to speak like another president once did. When a "leader" threatened another with death, our president stated that if the target ended up dead, the threatener would end up dead. I can picture Trump doing such...

What Trump is demonstrating here is that he’s a media/publicity hack first, and his political candidacy is a distant second (at best) in his public priorities.

Cruz is my candidate after Trump, but I don’t think he’s got the personal appeal or economic reputation and chops to actually win in 2016—so I’m really hoping the Trump phenomenon has legs.
