Former reality television star and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump taunted his rival Sen. Lindsey Graham on Tuesday over a recent poll that showed the senator way behind in Graham's home state.
The taunt was spurred by a poll released Tuesday which found Trump led South Carolina among likely GOP voters.
Trump eagerly shared his poll results on Twitter:

The Monmouth University poll found Trump receiving 30 percent support from likely Republican primary voters with his closest competitor, former neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson, at 15 percent.
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush polled at 9 percent, followed by Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and former technology executive Carly Fiorina at 6 percent. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz polled at 5 percent.
Graham and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker were tied at 4 percent each.
The poll was conducted from August 20 to 23 by telephone among 453 South Carolina residents likely to vote in the Republican primary in February. The margin of error was plus or minus 4.6 percent.

Other than calling out politicians in general who Trump thinks are stupid, I have yet to see Trump be nasty to or go after any individual who hasn’t already started something with him first.

You are correct. Linda is always trashing him. His latest was that the GOP will lose big if he is the nominee. I wonder why people get mad when he defends himself by using sarcasm. I have said before that Cruz is my horse in this race, but I absolutely love how he is taking it to the GOPe and their fellow travelers (Will, Kelly, Krauthammer, etc). He is showing us how to win. Something that has been absent from the GOP since Reagan left office - a spine.

If the media took a fair look and review of these jokers, Trump wouldn’t need to address them at all. As it is, Trump is responding to kindergartner insults with 3rd grader replies. Now if Donald went nuclear with 6th grade replies, you might have a point.

As far as I can tell, Trump didn’t start any of these things. All he’s doing is fighting back. So refreshing to finally see SOMEONE do that!!! I’m SO SICK of the spineless cowards!!

I just think he’d look better to a larger percentage of the electorate (beyond the automatic Republicans (many of whom just eat it up)) if he’d stay above that cheesy, tit-for-tat, 3rd (or 6th) grade stuff.
I want a Republican in the White House, no question. But I’m not yet convinced that his brusque character plays well with some of the non-automatic R voters.
If we think about it from that angle, who hates Fox news more than liberals? Republicans are late comers to that hatefest.

I actually believe it. I know about 100 to 120 die hard Demonrats. 20% of them are all ready leaning Trump, with no investment in campaigning other than the cost of going places in the primary.
This SOB hasnt spent anything on traditional campaigning. He has better numbers in my unofficial poll than Reagan did with cross overs. The Dems and the GOPe are not gonna know what hit them. Even their pollsters have no idea of the breadth of his appeal. America = Great Again.
