Ed Klein: Sanders Preparing to Run as Independent
Newsmax ^ | 8/25/15 | Melissa Clyne

Vermont socialist Bernie Sanders will be breaking from the Democratic Party and running for president as a third party, a move that "would all but guarantee a catastrophic split in the Democratic vote and ensure a Republican victory," Ed Klein confidential reports, citing sources inside Sanders' campaign.

"Sources say Sanders believes that despite his ever-growing crowds of fired-up supporters, he'll never overcome Hillary's — or, for that matter, (Vice President Joe) Biden's — advantage in money, organization and endorsements," Klein writes.

"In Bernie's opinion, Hillary is owned by Wall Street and is a hawk," according to a source characterized by the political columnist as a "Sanders' top campaign officials."

"The decision hasn't been made when to make the announcement to go independent," according to the source, thought it's likely to occur when Clinton "starts piling up delegates with the help of Wall Street money and her formidable ground operation."

If Sanders knows Hillary can’t win in a two man race, he just might go third party to make a point.

Gosh, I bet he’ll draw 20 or 30 votes away from the democrat candidate...

Maybe I'll vote for him myself...

Per Mediate (http://www.mediaite.com/tv/bernie-sanders-explains-why-hell-never-run-as-third-party-candidate/)

“If it happens that I do not win that process, would I run outside of the system? No, I made the promise that I would not and I will keep that promise,” Sanders said. “And the reason for that is I do not want to be responsible for electing some right-wing Republican to be president of the United States.”

Trump-Carson (R)
Sanders-Nader (C)
Biden-Warren (D)
Clinton-Bush (I)

With my speed reading, I damn near missed your I team’s second candidate!

Sanders runs “third” party. Trump runs “third” party. It ends up in the house of representatives and Jeb gets the white house.

This may be a warning shot to Biden. “If you run Sanders runs third party and you lose.”

Well, Klein is usually full of crap, so I’m not gonna get too excited about this... But...

Some of y’all are gonna be mad at me for this, but:

I’ve been thinking for weeks that it would really be educational and entertaining to see Hillary be the Dem* nominee; JEB! (or one of the other GOP-E types) to get the Repube nomination; and Trump (or Cruz) to run as a Constitutionalist Independent and Sanders to run as a Sozi-Commie Independent.

Give us peasants a real choice for a change, rather than forcing us into a ‘lesser of two evils situation like we have been for decades.

* Not that I think that Hillary will be the nominee anymore... so substitute Biden or Warren etc into the equation as the Dem establishment nominee.

I wish this were true. Hillary’s operatives are probably just out to calm Sanders hype in social media. If he does go independent, he’ll never get more than 1%. Democrats are like lemmings, and they’re very satisfied that Hillary is a radical.

Pretty sad when Sanders is more responsible than Trump.

The Republicans are trying to force Trump into a “third party” run That would be four major parties and might complicate the vote fraud efforts a bit. I would love to see the Republican and Democrat come out in third and fourth place after Sanders in second. If Bush is the Republican then I would hope to see the GOP come in last by a big a big number.

RNC’s new convention rules for this cycle make it highly possible that Trump or Cruz could win far more votes than the second place finisher and still Bush at fourth or eighth would get then nomination. That eventuality will beobvious after Super Tuesday and then Trump will very possibly go 3rd party. Here’s hoping Sanders will have done that already.

How will the elimination of Mrs. Bill by the current obamoperation and the advent of Joe Biden affect this?

“RNC’s new convention rules for this cycle make it highly possible that Trump or Cruz could win far more votes than the second place finisher and still Bush at fourth or eighth would get then nomination.”

I don’t think most people understand how the nominating process is largely rigged to guarantee the nomination of the chosen candidate of the Republican Ruling Class.

But if Trump and/or Cruz get the most votes and yet lose to La Raza Jeb! this campaign season could get even more exciting than it already is. It could well blow the GOP apart for good.
