Texas Senator and Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) accused Fox News Channel anchor Megyn Kelly of asking the question every mainstream media liberal journalist wants to ask and the question Barack Obama wants to focus on on Tuesdays Kelly File on the Fox News Channel.
Cruz was asked about his support for ending birthright citizenship and whether this means he favors amending the Constitution, he answered, Well, as a policy matter, Megyn, it doesnt make any sense anymore, that people who are here illegally, that their children would have automatic citizenship. That what that does is it serves as an incentive encouraging people to break the law and come here illegally. And we ought to change that policy. Now, as you noted there is a legal dispute about the best means to do it. And there are serious scholars who argue that Congress could do it through statute defining what it means to be subject to the jurisdiction, the language of the 14th Amendment. There are other serious constitutional scholars who argue the only way to change it is through a constitutional amendment. My view is we should pursue either or both, whichever is effective. What matters, is that we should change the policy so were not rewarding, and incentivizing, and encouraging more illegal immigration.

Why can't he bring himself to say the word: W A L L
Ted Cruz is the epitome of the ineffectiveness of Congress. A subscriber to the PC culture. I am.beginning to believe the indeed he would better serve as a SCOTUS than POTUS due to his care and caution when addressing tough questions.
Megyn on a mission.
We don’t need “a wall”. We need BALLS.
We need both. We need someone with b@lls to build the d@#n wall, and to enforce our laws.
Trump is the ONLY candidate promising to build the wall.
I’m tired of candidates dodging this.
Can he keep that promise? Seems like we've gotten used to the idea that the President can just pick up his phone and his pen and do any damned thing he pleases.
Why can’t he bring himself to say the word: W A L L
I think even better is no support at all. Not one penny to any illegal. No renting or owning home, no drivers license. No job. No hospital or any medical help at all. No banking. No getting welfare, HUD, education or anything else. No food stamps including churches and social agencies. No utilities hook ups at all. No car registration or purchases. No signs or anything in any language but english. Your child WILL NOT be allowed in any school in America until you become a citizen after you are from your home country.
What the non-ideological voter is going to hear is a direct question that was dodged, aka “just another politician”.
Remember the whole wall thing back in 2004 or so....heck people even sent bricks to the White House and Congress to help get it started. We’d have a wall by now had we started back then. I always wondered what they did with all those bricks......probably gave them to HUD to build affordable housing.......not kidding.
Cruz just put the bimbo in her place.
Wow, I thought Trump was getting a bit out of line attacking Megan Kelly again, but I guess not. That was a one-sided nasty exchange. There’re legitimate answers that are neither yes or no. Kelly just jumped the shark.
I think Megyn’s days are numbered. The writing’s on the wall...
First time I ever saw Cruz look flustered during an interview. Kelly made him look really like a typical politician ducking and diving. He would not answer her question. Kelly’s mission is to clear the field for Bush. He should have been better prepared.
Good gosh....do we already forget that this dang wall has been funded? Remember that?
As nas pointed out, on another post, do we remember sending our Reps in DC bricks to build the dang wall with??
We’re just going to sit back and let the establishment, Cheap Labor Express folks run over us?
Maybe you’re good with that. But me? I’m will to give the Trump Train a chance to do what he’s promised to do.
DEPORT THOSE HERE ILLEGALLY AND BUILD THE DAD-GUMMED WALL.
Yeah, he’s pretty slick, saying he would wait to see what he could get bipartisan support for, see what we could do, etc, etc., leaving himself lots of “outs.”
Same as it ever was.
Not really.
You either support an impenetrable wall from the Pacific Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico, or you don't.
It IS binary.
It may take 6 months or a year to play out, but I think you’re right. Nobody wants to look at her bloody eyes and flaring nostrils anymore.
That question is binary, but sadly, it’s not the one he was asked.
I remember that. I also remember that it never got built. But the money is already spent. Remember that?
