Bush said these DEMOCRAT community leaders told him, “You can’t build a wall and solve this problem in our part of the country. The terrain is too rugged, you’d have to keep American citizens on the other side of the wall, and you couldn’t access the river, which is part of the economic driver of the community, it is an agricultural community, they need to have access to the water. And it’s not a feasible to build a wall, but it is a simple solution.”

“Tell you what I will do…provide more support for local law enforcement, make them the eyes and ears of the Border Patrol,” he said, explaining his plan. “Push the Border Patrol to the border rather than have them pulled back. Use technology, use drones and GPS to surge to places where there are weaknesses.”

And you want a huge portion of the U.S. populace voting for YOU after that comment? Get real...

Tell you what everyone. IF Bush #3 is nominated I WILL write in Trump for 1000% certain. NO WAY would I cast a vote for him after reading this article. Geez....he’ll “add more law enforcement” for what? To drag them here into containment areas and then send them about the country like Obama does?

It’s like these people never heard of siphoning pumps and pipelines. It is all about policy and flouting of current law. At least an Israeli style fence would intimidate some of these rats infesting our country.

Is that a quote from somebody when they first heard about the Hoover dam or going to the moon?

Dear jeb,

If a wall is not feasible, then, bring our troops home from Europe, and put them on the border with orders to shoot to kill.

I was leaving the door open a crack for voting for Jeb, it was at 1% probablility in case it was down to him and Lindsey.

I’m now down to 0% after this ridiculous statement.

Bush said: "how are you going to stop their remittances without violating their civil rights?"

THEIR civil rights? Come before the civil rights of US citizens? The ones whose jobs they're undermining to get that money they send back to their homelands?

He can't build a wall?....doesn't that mean we should have a President who builds big, wonderful massive structures?

Jeb isn't just stupid, arrogant, entitled, unaccountable, elitist, bought and paid for, unpleasant and obnoxious. He's evil.

I just read that quote and had a thought. By Jeb’s logic, the wall should be built south of the Rio and the US should claim the river and both of its shores. That should address Jeb’s main concern about the wall.

The wall is a psychological barrier as well as a physical barrier. It tells them to stay the hell out, it tell us out government respects us and our borders.

"How are you going to stop all of the remittances without violating their civil rights?"

Civil rights? Are income taxes or *any* taxes paid on that money?

“I’ll tell you what they say on the border,” Bush continued, “it would tear apart their community, would hurt their economic activity, and it’s not needed, and there are better ways to deal with this…”

That's the problem with Jebbie and most of the border state politicians. They ignore the fact that it's actually the US/Mexico border, not the Texas/Mexico border, or the other states that border Mexico. Most of them want their local community considerations to be the number one priority and to hell with how it affects the rest of the USA when there is little or no border security.

It's time these border towns changed their ways because what happens in border towns doesn't stay in border towns, it spreads into all 48 states of the continental US.

You don't stop them.. you tax them, like everything else gets taxed in this country.

A border wall isn’t practical?

Length of US/Mexico border: 1,954 miles

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mexico%E2%80%93United_States_border

Length of the Great Wall of China: 13,171 miles

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Wall_of_China

The Great Wall of China was built before trucks and equipment were invented.

So... a wall isn’t practical?

Jeb Bush: Border Wall ‘Not Practical’

Like Mark Steyn said on Tuesday while sitting in for Rush... Trump's popularity is based in large part on voters' anger at the GOP for being the "Party of 'It Can't Be Done.'"

This country -- when it was great -- sent men to the moon, won wars and protected its sovereignty. Even though the first two may now be out of reach, let's at least give the third a try.
