If Trump was running as a Democrat, would you still support him? (Vanity)

I imagine Trump is kicking himself now for sliding into the crowded Republican race instead of the Democratic race. But who knew a few months ago that Hillary would implode leaving the Democratic race with NOBODY as a possible?

Sure Trump is enjoying a double digit percentage lead in the Repub polls, but imagine his ratings (75%? 85%?) if he ran basically unopposed as a Democrat?

Sorry, but even if Trump is a “liberal”, which I think is a little funny on its face

Laugh all you'd like but his history proves it.

Really? Unfathomable? How so? Trump has been a democrat and has supported democrat values most of his life.

Another reminder that I really wish FR had an "IGNORE" filter for posts.

Tedious... tedious...

Better call the office and check if Hillary or Odumbo have some fresh talking points.
This one has mold on it...

My suspicion is that at least half of Trump’s support would go to Bush if the Donald fell out.

I thought so,too. Had Trump not been in this race we would had ended up right back where we were the last 3? elections.
There is no evidence anything has changed with the GOPe???

Bush would have been the nom and half the Freepers, who are now anti-Trump, would be telling us we have to vote for Bush or else Joe Biden will be our next President!

SOme would say they are voting for Cruz no matter...Still, Bush would lose and Slow Joe, the first live president to have his brain operated on, would be our C.C.

All because the GOPe pushed McCain, Romney and Jeb Bush on us. Do they care? ...nope.
I don’t think it his to Hillary btw.

If someone had told you 5 years ago that a liberal democrat would run for president as a conservative republican AND be ahead by double digit leads, would you believe that? “ -——

Well, except that reasonable people can disagree that Trump is now a liberal Democrat, and no one wants to appreciate the similarities to other Lefties who (finally) crossed the Mississippi, like Reagan before him, but who kept his lefty wife and their lefty kids.

BTW, I did answer you at 94.

To that, I might add that winning with a conservative candidate who subsists on only his evangelical base and never grows beyond it may no longer be possible in the United States. I know you have thought about that, right?

I suppose you mean Romney and yes ..... he was the best of the two candidates.

I am a responsible citizen and voted. I am not like many conservatives that cop out, stamp their feet and take their ball home because they can’t get all they want in a candidate. Jesus will never run

they are basically too lazy to make hard decisions and rationalize by staying home

Interesting argument you’re advancing. Don’t trust the guy who has staked his campaign on building a wall. Trust the guy who’s not even sufficiently engaged in the issue to detail the rapes and murders inflicted on US citizens by the invading horde, and who has made no vow to build the wall.

Amazing.

Earlier you falsely accused me of going liberal and "gutter" in my response to you. I corrected you.

Here come another response that will likely cause you to start hyperventilating and calling out my attacks as liberal:

YOU ARE A FREAKING LIAR!!

You really want to sit here and say Cruz has NEVER stated a position on a border wall?

YOU ARE A FREAKING LIAR!!

Once again, I'm no liberal and am not resorting to gutter responses at you here. Just stating the obvious.

but whether I like it or not, at present what I see sure looks like its Trump’s to lose.

I was in the camp that though Trump was a fumble mouthed gadfly that was a curiosity nothing more. I even felt if they let Carly on the same stage she would wax him, but that didn't happen. I have rethought that since she jumped feet first into the dump on Trump mode.

I don't think for a minute that Trump hates this country and his immigration position paper, if he means it, goes a long way toward stopping the invasion Mexico has under way. I still remember "Read My Lips" from the GOP.

I wonder if Trump gets in if the Senate will still think that a President is entitled to his picks in his administration?

You are bearing false witness against me. Here is what I said:

‘I am unaware of any binding promise he has made to build a wall—but I know that if it had been made, his supporters would have unearthed it by now.’

That is a true statement. A Christisn would acknowledge it as such.

That’s fine, but how can you believe what they say?

Easy question.
I voted republican for decades.
They lied. THAT'S A FACT.

Could Trump lie?
Sure.
But SAYING he will lie in the future is either a guess, AN OPINION or a hope.

NONE OF THOSE ARE FACTS.

If Trump lies, I guessed wrong and we're no worse off.

If Trump delivers, America wins, citizens win and the Constitution wins.

See my tag line.

You may be gullible enough to buy into Trump's ruse but you're not gullible enough to believe that.

Much of that cash goes back into politicians pockets.

Sadly the PPP videos have enraged the few that have seen them but no one seems to be mad about PPP receiving 500 million a year in taxpayer dollars and donateing to politicians they need. It is a slush fund for democrats.

No, not really. I have thought (often) that no conservative can win without the support of the evangelical base. And I do think that good ol' socon evangelical values alone will not do the trick, but I don't think Huck or Cruz or any evangelical would run on such a narrow platform. Cruz, for sure is right on those values but also economic and political positions also.

The last one to subsist only on his evangelical base was old Pat Robertson. Do you remember that? A disaster.

But lets not lose sight of what he was in the past

Read My Lips. Cruz is not winning no matter how much you criticize Trump.
