I agree with your take on these dynamics.
It’s going to be a very interesting election cycle.
It will be a beautiful thing if McCain is finally put out to pasture.
Well, let me put it this way: For the first time in my lifetime, a candidate has come along who is beholden to nobody and does not rely on donors who have an agenda contrary to the will of the American people.
Do we pay attention to his past statements? Sure. Do they carry as much weight as the promises and deeds of politicians? No. Should we fly off the handle over a statement like this one where there could be any one of several different meanings to what he said? No, that would just be stupid.
But have at it if it makes you feel better. Trump’s full tax plan will come out soon and then you guys can move on to the next subject until he blows whatever else you’re whining about out of the water.
That and I think some of the others have some form of Stockholm syndrome.
Which number is bigger 15 or 39.6?
What is the current highest tax rate? Answer 39.6%
What is Trump’s proposed highest tax rate? Answer 15%
What has to happen to go to Trump’s lower tax rates 1% to 15%?
Answer lots of spending cuts, which means downsizing of govt!! “Your fired”!!
Noob!
McCain on the back 40 munching grass would be beautiful thing to behold. I can thing of plenty of other Rino’s that need need to join him.
Other than Trump, I see no plan B to rid the GOP of these progressive sellout leaders who stop conservatives every election.
I think he’ll call them out. Hopefully their home states will sit up and take notice.
“”The hedge fund people make a lot of money and they pay very little tax,” Trump said in an interview Wednesday with Bloomberg. “I want to lower taxes for the middle class.”
In short, Trump is willing to raise taxes on himself and those like him.
Many hedge fund managers and real estate investors are able to list their earnings as “carried interest” because of an IRS tax rule. They are able to cast their earnings as investment gains instead of income, which allows them to be taxed at a lower rate.
“You’ve seen my statements. I do very well. I don’t mind paying a little more in taxes. The middle class is getting clobbered in this country,” he said.”
It’s has become crazy here lately with these TDS toads. It is fine to criticize any candidate but when the facts of a candidate are right there in front of them and they cry ... he is for raising taxes....he is pro-illegal alien....he is pro-obamacare, when he (Trump) is saying the exact opposite and more forceably than anyone else, it makes you wonder how we can ever reverse the liberalization of the Republican party.
Why are you so UN-informed? Either you hate Trump or you ignore details of Trump’s tax plan.
For you benefit, I will help you get some real knowledge.
Hedge fund managers pay smaller tax rates than a fireman, a teacher, a policeman, a computer programmer, and almost all of middle class.
Why? Because the paper shufflers known as hedge fund managers pay capital gains tax rates and get to deduct all expenses of doing business.
I for one, would like to see a higher tax on paper shufflers, who manufacture nothing, provide no service I need, and are a drag on the middle class tax payers.
This election is going to be a all out war. I still think there is a well thought out plan with Cruz, Trump and some others to rid the GOP of the GOPe and not hand the Presidency to the Dems again. We are just seeing the early stages of that in the primary.
If you are saying you think we can prevent the Dems from winning again, I agree. I’m sorry I didn’t exactly understand your point.
I’m in it for a Trump/Cruz 2016 ticket all the way.
Reuters/Ipsos poll:
“Trump, with 33 percent, led Huckabee, with 12 percent, on Friday”
We are doomed!
Are you mentally ill? Really are you? Can you not read what Trump said? Not what lefties and Rinos said he said, but what he said!
Should people making huge net profits on hedge funds pay no income taxes or less income tax than the average middle class American? Trump isn’t doing wealth redistribution, quite the opposite. He is saying, everyone needs to pay something and those making millions or billions should not be getting away with not paying an equal share from their net income because of corrupt tax regulations.
I will take his 1%, 5%, 10%, 15% which has to equates to large govt spending cuts, any day over what we have. Apparantly you won’t so that makes you pro-higher-taxes, noob.
I don’t believe for a second you want lower taxes or a fair tax system when the facts are staring you in the face and you keep saying what you are. You are here to disrupt FR aren’t you? You lie and spout disinformation like a dimocrat, who you working for? Sanders? Hilliary? Yeb?
Oh I think we see the same and want the same. Someone who can’t be bought and paid for, who will dismantle the GOPe leadership/big donor control of the GOP. Someone who stop the millions of illegal democrat voters from completing the marxist rush of this nation, and talking jobs from Americans while we pay them additionally with govt assistance. Someone who will fight for all Americans and will take on the politically correct in the media and in both political parties. And someone who knows jobs, jobs, jobs is an absolute to making America great again.
There is NO other plan to rid us of the GOPe leadership and stop the democrats from winning the WH again, I think we both understand that clearly. I will add I think Cruz is probably part of that plan with a few other principled conservatives, we shall see.
Doomed! LOL
I agree with you.
Something needs to change with the party leadership.
Remember, Reagan came along and as soon as he left, the GOPe went right on as if nothing happened.
If Trump gets in, he needs to pressure the GOPe to change it’s ways. I’d flat out tell them in public, change your leadership or I’ll take your party to a new place, and to hell with you. We tried your way for decades, and you failed us.
Get up to speed or get out.
Now that's what I call makin' America great again. Where do I sign up??
Thanks .... Noted
Yes exactly.
And this is appearing more as time passes as well planned out conservative takeover of the GOPe. I have no insider knowledge on that but I think a group of conservatives decided sometime after 2012 that they had to go at this a different way than they had in the past. A billionaire Terminator like frontman who is known by all Americans seems to me a winning plan. What else could a group of conservatives determined to take back the Republican Party and win the WH do? Maybe my imagination is running away with me but the pieces fit.
You can't reason with pure, hyped-up emotion. The cult of personality is in full swing.
