SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Two journalists, shot and killed during a live news report in Virginia. Vigils around the country are taking place for Alison Parker and Adam Ward.
In the wake of these shootings comes the same questions. Why does this happen? What can be done?
But there is one consistent reaction: an increase in gun sales.
Gun and ammunition stores have seen a boost in business in recent years. The reason, one store owner said, is whenever a shooting tragedy happens, there's a renewed national debate on gun control
That debate, the gun shop owner said, leads to increased sales. The debate is to add stricter regulations or just enforce the laws on the books.

These people got shot the other day. Does this reporter have a hookup with the ID system?
Typical lib story.
Aside fro calling gun shops in your area there is no way anyone has any idea if gun sales have risen..or the reason why. I would guess deer rifle sales start going up this time of year. Is it because BAMBI came out on Blueray?

New calls for gun control! But let’s not forget this tragedy form the past! NO GUNS INVOLVED!

Anne Pressly (August 28, 1982 October 25, 2008) was an American news anchor for KATV Channel 7 in Little Rock, Arkansas. ... On October 20, 2008, she was brutally attacked during a robbery at her home and died five days later.
Yep. A son of Obama.
Never too many guns or enough ammunition.

It’s an individual thing, my wife and I each own a pistol and we co own a shot gun, it’s what we want.
I was going to just get an upper for 300 BLK and add it to an existing AR, but a Sig AR in 300 BLK is not much more than a quality upper.
I purchased an 1882 Colt Derringer earlier this year and was hoping to make similar historical arms purchases going forward. But it seems that each time I begin to buy things other than modern guns, a new call for gun control comes and I must once again think of those things which may be banned.
I hate leftists.
I have a Ruger AR in 308 and will be starting with the suppressor on that gun. However, the decibels for even a 308 suppressor look to be in the range of 134 decibels or so. A 300 BLK has less than half the sound, coming in at 118 or so.
Because decibels are logarithmic, every 10 decibels is an increase of 100% in the sound, something I had not known until I purchased my suppressors. As an example a suppressed AR in 300 BLK is about 118 decibels, while a Daisy BB gun is about 97. So essentially the 300 BLK is four times as loud as the Daisy BB gun.
What we need now is more ammunition. What the hell is taking soooooo long to get back to reasonable amounts readily on the store shelves? Is the gubmint buying it all or limiting production?
gunbot.net is a goodie; but even it can’t beat Cheaper Than Dirt’s sale on 9mm today; 1000 rds of Tulammo, $185.
Personal limit. This year, I have spent about $7000 on guns and ammo. Was hoping to spend money on other diversions, but if this gun grabbing nonsense keeps up, I may have to pull in purchases and buy that Sig AR in 300 Blackout that I was planning on buying next year (to go with the SilencerCo Specwar762 suppressor currently in the works).
Thanks for sharing; this is great, now, anything I tell my wife I want to get, all I have to do is say, “yeah, but remember that guy on Freep said he spent xy and z - what I want for our family is nothing compared to that”.
“Because decibels are logarithmic, every 10 decibels is an increase of 100% in the sound, something I had not known until I purchased my suppressors. “
As an engineer I can tell you that while you are right that the Db scale is log, the fact is that every 3Db doubles the sound pressure, not 10.
