Trump: I’m winning because Americans are 'tired of being the patsies'
The Hill ^ | August 29,2015 | By Mark Hensch

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump says he is leading the GOP race because he represents Americans who have had it with their nation coming up short.

“People in this country are smart,” he told listeners at the National Federation of Republican Assemblies’ 2015 conference in Nashville on Saturday.

“We’re tired of being the patsies for everyone,” Trump said.

“There is a big, big, growing-by-leaps-and-bounds silent majority out there. [The 2016 race] is going to be an election based on competence.”

Trump argued he is surging in national polls because he represents the Tea Party supporters ignored by Democrats and betrayed by Republicans.

“I love the Tea Party,” Trump said. “You people have not been treated fairly. These are people who work hard and love their country, and then get beat up by the media. It’s disgusting.”

“At least I have a microphone and can fight back,” the outspoken billionaire added.

Trump indicated he envisions a much wider base for his campaign than traditional Republican voters next election cycle.

“You don’t know how big you are,” he told listeners. “The Tea Party has tremendous power. It’s Democrats, it is evangelicals, it is everybody.”

The New York business mogul also vowed he would not succumb to the prestige and power of Washington’s political establishment if he wins in 2016.

“They go to Washington and they get weak,” Trump said of Democrats and Republicans alike. “They get there and they see these beautiful, vaulted ceilings and they say, ‘Honey, I’ve made it.’ That won’t happen to me, I promise.”

Trump also said he intends on saving taxpayer dollars by focusing his energy on the nation’s capital if elected next year.

Still waiting for him to say something wrong.

So far, he sounds like a veteran of FR!

If Americans aren’t tired of being stepped on, mocked and expected to pay for the Communist dreams of Democrats, we don’t deserve a free country.

His supporters are patsies for this socialist idiot. If he wants to run for president, he should do it in the Democratic primary where he belongs.

Donald Trump is an arrogant blowhard(per a poll). Just what we need to break the Washington Cartel.

He would definitely be a bull in a china shop.

Americans want leaders in Congress and in the Presidency who don’t apologize for things that are not their fault.

It seems both Obama and Boehner (and Jeb and others) are on non-stop apology tours.

Honestly, yesterday I stumbled upon the word Patsy in my brain, and was going to write today on FR that I thought we have getting played like patsies by the GOPe and believe we are at a point in time where unless we are supporting Trump and/or Cruz, we are helping to elect a RINO or more likely a Dim who whoops the RINO in the general election. And today I read about Trump using that exact word. Spot on! Go Trump! Go Cruz!

Which part don't you understand the idiot or the socialist? Trump has a long track record of supporting socialism. He wants a single payer form of socialized medicine that's worse than ACA. His support for eminent domain/Kelo, which means he has no respect for private property/recognizes no limit to government control. He supports high taxes/punitive taxation. His career was built on big government cronyism. He doesn't respect or even know about the Constitution.

Because as we all KNOW nothing in heaven or on earth could EVER move Donald Trump from his old lefty luxuriations regardless of HOW much sense such movement would make both to Donald and to America.

So let’s all wring our hands and get behind the single digit percenters once more. We have a safe milquetoast to choose, his name is Jeb.

“I love the Tea Party,” Trump said. “You people have not been treated fairly. "

But seriously, this is a rather open admission that Trump is NOT a TEA Party conseravtive. He doesn't say "we", he says "you people".
