The only reason SANDY did so much damage is it came ashore at a very high tide in one of the most populated places in the USA. It also had two storms from the north barreling down on the same area.
it was barely considered a “hurricane”, more like a tropical storm.

I often wonder, with our oxygen level on the earth now at a steady 19%, how did the earth survive in the prehistoric past when the oxygen level was 30%.
