Trump: Republicans ‘become weak’ after being elected

Donald Trump lashed out at his fellow Republicans in a speech to a conservative crowd in Nashville, Tenn., on Saturday.

The bombastic billionaire said that inside-the-Beltway GOPers “become weak” after they’re elected.

“They walk into these magnificent buildings . . . and they go ‘Oooh, I made it,’ ” he mocked. “ ‘I’ll vote for ObamaCare extensions, I’ll do whatever you want.’

“Well, it won’t happen to me, I promise you,” he said.

“Republicans ‘become weak’ after being elected”

Is that polite for “corrupt?”

Here is Ted Cruz has to say on the corruption of the GOPe leadership.

That Tuesday lunch began with our leadership saying, “We’re asking every Republican senator here, to affirmatively consent to lower the threshold for Harry Reid to take up the debt ceiling, from 60 votes to 50 votes. And we were told, everyone of you should agree for two reasons.

Number one, if we do this, it will happen, and hallelujah, hallelujah, that’s what we want. We want trillions more in debt with no spending reforms, because we’re scared of this issue. We don’t want to have a political fight on this.

But number two, if we do this, the Democrats will have the votes to do it on their own, which means all of us Republicans can vote no. And we can go home and tell our constituents, we opposed the thing we just consented to allow happen.

Now, I was sitting there — to be honest, I hadn’t gone to lunch intending to pick a fight, but as I listened to that, I was astonished and I raised my hand, and I said, “There’s no universe in which I can consent to doing that. I spent two years campaigning across Texas, telling Texas, if you elect me, I’ll fight with every breath in my body to stop the out of control spending and debt that are bankrupting our kids and grandkids.”

If were to do that, I think it would be both dishonest and unfaithful to the men and women who elected me.

I don't think my man Cruz is going to make it this time around. May have to vote for Trump. I'm not sitting it out to help let Hillery win it.

“Weak.” How about nonexistent? That suits Bonehead "orange drunk man" Boehner and Mitch “turtle face” Mcdumbo exactly.

I gotta say, if he’s just telling us what we want to hear, then he’s hired the only damn strategist worth his salt because nobody else gets it.

Isn’t that lovely, Trump stole another Cruz talking point.

Cruz has mentioned this in just about every speech he’s given saying voters are angry and frustrated when they elected Republicans and then they don’t do what they say they are going to do.

Trump says it now and it’s like “Wow, nobody’s said this before”

Let the worship of Trump continue

My new theory is Trump went to a witch doctor and stole a copy of Cruz’ soul. Only thing that makes sense.

Ted’s name recognition is NO WHERE NEAR Trump’s. Hence, he says everything Cruz has said, but instead of page 20, it makes page 1. ALL of page 1.

Pick Cruz for VP to solidify conservatives, 16 years of conservatism in the white house.

that’s my dream, anyway

“Everyone’s going to say they’re super-duper conservative,” he said in a Friday afternoon interview that served as a Reader’s Digest version of his speech to convention delegates that evening. “I think the Republican primary’s going to come down to one word, and that’s trust. Far too many of us have been burned by politicians who sound great on the campaign trail, and then they go to Washington and they don’t do what they say. And I think what’s going to be the central distinction in this race is primary voters are going to say don’t tell me, show me.”

Ted Cruz said it first.

How is it Trump’s fault that Cruz is failing to communicate the obvious?

If Cruz said this and no one knows Cruz said it, or no one remembers that he said it, or no one cares that he said it, whose fault is that?

If Trump has connected with people, and people listen to and respond to what he says, and Cruz hasn’t connected with people, and people don’t listen to or respond to what he says, whose fault is that?
