Blacklives matter is a hate group that has advocated killing police and whose rhetoric has led to at least 3 policemen being killed.
The Republican party should be denouncing them instead of pandering to them. But the GOPe has become almost as liberal as the democrat party.

Nothing wrong with talking as long as no promises are made. Talking costs nothing. The idea that one should not communicate with one’s political opponents or even mortal enemies is bizarre and self-defeating. Even if the only benefit is intelligence on your enemy’s goals and plans, it’s almost always worth it to talk.
