Long before the Republican presidential candidate became a presidential candidate or a Republican, Donald Trump had a working relationship with Al Sharpton, including doing favors for the racial activist and giving him thousands in donations.

None have been polled? He’s showing up with single digits, it’s not like there is some systematic avoidance of looking at his picture.

For weeks I have enjoyed Trump’s savaging the enemedia/Rat complex. As I have said all along, we conservatives owe him a debt of gratitude for doing so. I have never misconstrued DT for conservative. Tonight it occurs to me one aspect of Trump that I have heard about again and again but it never really connected. People go to him. They are summoned or they ask for a “meeting”. When on Active Duty in Panama following Just Cause I met a number of Panamanians who had “met with” Noriega. I think it is a very similar thing. I suspect Trump is not in it so much for the money but he wants to be “the guy”. Apparently he is a charming person and I recall even Beck admitted on day one he went out of his way to be hospitable.

I said weeks ago that as much as we may want a Constitutional conservative the fact is the precedents the Klown has set mean whoever is next is going to be a tyrant. It will just be too easy. The choice we are going to face in 2016 is not going to be right vs left or R vs D or anything else. It is going to be Trump or Hillary. We all know what Hillary will do with power. With DT we just can’t be sure.

Sure Trump will enjoy making the powerful come kiss his ring. One can hope that the cronyism will be less than it has been. Hillary will force everyone to lick her boot. No one really “knows” what the future holds but if you hang around pool halls I suspect you get pretty good at knowing what balls are gonna drop. Those of us who have been trying to pay close attention for decades I think can get a sense of things. Not like Barone, based on deep knowledge of demographics, but just a sense of what can happen. If the Rats were gonna dump Hillary she would be wearing an orange jumpsuit. Who knows, did the GOPee piss of Trump? Whatever, he is sure raining on their parade.

As for restoring the Constitution, we are probably gonna have to actually pick up a rifle and fight to do that. I just don’t see a non violent path to that anymore.

When you can come to grips with Trump’s platform and tell me what other candidate has presented one like it or better, we’ll talk.

You don’t even know Ted Cruz’s “platform”.. OR you wouldn’t say that... Ted had his/this platform before Trump even became a faux republican...

How was that going for Ted.  Outside of you, me, and a bunch of other FReepers, who really knew much about Ted?

Cruz is a small federal givernment republican, TRUMP is a large federal givernment republican..
and Trump is also for big state givernment and big local givernment...

Well, that's your version of things.  Yawn

Let me see, wants to send illegal aliens home, check.  Want's birthright-citizenship to be held to the correct context with regard to the 14th Amendment, check.  Wants to stop deficit spending, check.  Wants to end Common Core, check.  Wants to make Education local, not Washington based, check.  Wants to get trade deals that are beneficial to the US and it's citizens, check.  Wants to rebuild our military, check.  Wants to address the long standing problem of Veteran's heath care, check.  Wants our allies to trust us and our enemies to fear us, check.  Wants to defund Planned Parenthood if they are performing abortions, check.  Wants the replacement for Obamacare to be private sector based, check.  Wants insurance companies to be able to compete nationwide to provide for lowered costs and more robust policies, check.

Just look at all that big government stuff in there.

And how is this going for Ted?  Where is Ted in the polls today?

What about Corker bill, the vote for TPP support legislation, and increasing H1-B visas to 350,000?  Are those Conservative things?  Not unless we want Iran to have nuclear weapons, we want to displace 250,000 more workers, and would love to see that 93 million figure grow.  Ted's a little tone deaf.

He’s just a BIG givernment GUY...
You know like Boehner, McConnell, Obama, Pelosi and Reid.. to name a few...

Hmm, run out of things to charge him with?

To do most of what Trump wants to do the way he wants to do it takes BIG GIVERNMENT.. more Taxes, some Tariffs(more taxes) and taxes raised on pretty much everyone by the time it’s over..

My favorite tax that you folks never want to talk about is this tax.  China manipulates it's currency so that our products cost 40% more going into China.  We can't export to China.  It charges 40% less for things coming out of China so our buisinesses can't complete.  The upshot of this is that we have 93 million able bodied U. S. citizens out of work.  If you're not working how much take home is there after taxes?  Oh that's right, ZERO.

Is that less or more than the tariffs Trump wants to slap on Chinese goods?  100% vs 25%.  Hmmm... that's a tough one huh.

he WALKS like liberal, TALKS like a liberal, JOKES like a liberal.. and he is pretty much your complete ULTRA-liberal...

Except he's not.  There is that too after all...

What was that again about TRUMP being a conservative..
Tell me again.. I want to see you say it.. for the record..

Against what you've provided here.  LOL

Jeese it’s like Kindergarten around here these days..

Yes, I've read your posts.  I certainly concur

To clarify even further, he has failed to raise any kind of public enthusiasm, which makes the effect milquetoast no matter WHAT his theoretical ultimate plans may be.

Ted has raised the MOST MONEY... avg 70$...
The silent majority is for Cruz not trump..
and it’s getting Cruzier not trumpier...

Thanks Liberty. As you can tell, I don’t frequent the FRCanteen on Friday nights. I wasn’t trying to replace that, so disregard my thoughts on the YouTube videos.

Take care.

Oh wow, a small pin head compared to Trump’s golf ball.

Trump continues to soar and Cruz himself continues to respect that... why don’t you respect your hero more, not less...

It just looks like something bigger than Donald is moving Donald, and if it is, then that something bigger is what is bidding fair to establish the tone — and not Donald. And it looks like the highly religious Cruz sees the blood (of Christ) thicker than mud.

Who says.?. Pollsters CAN BE bought..
or do you think their ALL honest?..

Bought with untraceable money..
under the table.. WHO?.. dunno..

But the statics are really messed up..
Just the last election had 100% to 200% participation in some places..
No one gave it second glance.. especially republicans.

Same here.. do I think the polls are manipulated?.. ABSOLUTELY..
They(pollsters) want it seem real but WHO CHECKS.. NO ONE..

IF Cruz didnt have very large crowds at his rallys.. ALL OF THEM..
I might not worry about the Polls but he does..

Oh you can get big crowds of aficionados... (Ted)

And then you can get yourself talked about among the people who had hung it up on politics, like you make it worth it again. (Donald)

Nathan, do you agree with the Corker Bill? I don’t. By what stretch of the imagination was it reasoned to make it harder to stop Obama’s Iran deal.

Guess who voted for it.

Do you think we need to add 250,000 H1-B visas slots per year? We’ve got between 40 and 90 million able bodied people out of work.

Guess who supports this.

Did you agree with the need for a new TPP trade legislation? We can’t seem to lose jobs fast enough, so now they want to sign more agreements that will undermine still more jobs.

Guess who voted for support legislation for this?

Cruz is not quite the pristine guy folks think he is.

I try to hold back, but I’m tired of hearing what a bad guy Trump is, while folks champion the perfect Cruz.

I sure don’t approve of that Corker bill. I doubt you do either. To me, that betrays every other Conservative principle, making it easier for Obama to negotiate Iran to have nuclear weapons.

What is the president’s number one job? Isn’t that making our nation safe? Are we more safe with a nuclear Iran?

Even Trump know this was wrong. Did Cruz? No.

Which one is the real Conservative?

There’s a difference between preaching to the choir at the private camp meeting, and packing the church with new faces....

That would have to be true for your objection to hold any water. If you are ceding that point, never mind.
