From Mike Allen writing at Politico:

A close associate tells POLITICO that Donald Trump plans to sign a loyalty pledge Thursday that would bind him to endorse the Republican nominee, and would preclude a third-party run. Trump made the stunning decision, which he has long resisted, to avoid complications in getting listed on primary ballots, and to take away an attack line in the next debate, the associate said.

Good for him. I am almost ready to hop on the Trump Train full force. We have a City full of idiots in Washington. We need a tough leader who won’t take crap.

In the end, this pledge is a scrap of paper.

I hope he manages to extract a fairness pledge from the RNC.

On the upside, I see Trump as the only qualified nominee going to the convention. I see Trump winning at least half the primaries and I don’t see Bush or Carson winning the required 8.

This will help him. Big time! Now the GOPe has to brew up some new scheme to push him out of the debates and off the ballot.

I don’t think he has a choice and he’s looking at the polls and he’s way ahead. He should probably have waited until after the next debate, but I’m sure he has a good reason. I’m not going to second guess the Donald.

The stinking, treasonous, lying, and EXEMPT,
GOP refuses to sign a loyalty pledge to the
US Constitution, and instead has agreed to
give nukes to Iran .... and to protect the Mullahs.

More powerful than a locomotive and faster than a speeding bullet. Nothing hurts The Donald. Except maybe cryptonite. So far none has been found.

What people have to realize is that they don't pick the nominee, the party does.

Hillary has already has commitments from delegates. That's why she's not stepping down. The scandals mean nothing to her. It's all about delegates.

Therefore, “I am opening an 8th party campaign.”

Indeed. The master of negotiation needs to demand a SIGNED ‘fairness pledge’ from the RNC in return or no way should he sign anything. The RNC will turn on him just like they turned on the American people after the mid-term elections!

Fine. I'm happy if Donald signs the pledge.

Then I want to see Prince Rebus require all the other candidates to sign a pledge to support all their fellow candidates, including Trump, if any one of them is the ultimate presidential nominee.

I don’t think this is a one way street....The GOPee might have gotten ‘something’ but there is no way Trump is going to walk away without having it all....

He’s a businessman, not a politician and the GOPee just burned themselves but don’t know it yet....
