Which is exactly why I listen to the law of love. Do you? So many legalistic Christians just gloss over the 1st and 2nd.
“But to gin up the hate...”
How is a boycott hate? You mean there is NO PLACE or NO BUSINESS you would not patronize? Not at all? Is refusing to attend a lewd club hatred on your part? And if it is not okay for you, why is everyone else obligated to attend to prove they don’t hate? Boycotting is a New Testament principle.
Note that I put a smiley-face on my reply. I got a chuckle out of you using Lutherans as your example.
It happens to all of us. No harm. No foul.
It is a hate when one little glimpse at something you don’t like frames your idea of the whole.
And how are you loving unborn babies and children who are being pushed into believing they are the opposite sex by patronizing companies that promote this?
Nobody’s acts in this sinful world are pure. Does that mean you frown and fold your arms?
Think of what ELSE they are doing. Surely there is many a needy family they are keeping going, who believe in the Lord.
“It is a hate when one little glimpse at something you dont like frames your idea of the whole.”
What makes you think you can evaluate millions of people with that little observation? I stay clear of all the ISIS atrocities, but, yes, one little glimpse can accurately frame that whole organization very accurately. Ditto communists, nazis, etc.
And keep in mind that the Lord will treat you with the same forgiveness or judgmentalism too... that is the big boom that many self righteous Christians fail to see right over their heads. They don’t know how sinful they really are.
I think that we made a mistake by not passing a marriage amendment to the constitution back before 2005 when it could’ve passed easily. Back when even Clinton passed the Defense of Marriage Act. If we did that, then even today there still wouldn’t be enough support to pass an amendment to overturn that one.
Today we might have the support to pass an anti-abortion amendment, a balanced budget amendment and one to overturn birthright citizenship for non-citizen’s children. Conservatives should band together and push for these amendments. We spend way too much more time worrying about electing individual candidates when we could be cementing real change for the country with the power of law.
Turn your own criticisms on yourself!
What makes YOU think you can evaluate millions of people with a little observation!
You might even find yourself placed in a situation by the Lord where someone, who at some point had been in ISIS, now is being sought by the Lord. But no, you won’t be the kindness that draws them.
Sounds great.
Now what?
God has blessed us with a man on target. I pray almost daily for Christianity to return and sweep across the country and the world. This is why we send our funds to keep this site rolling free.
Agreed, but why add to it if you don't have to?
Does that mean you frown and fold your arms?
No, but it doesn't mean I help them do it either.
Think of what ELSE they are doing. Surely there is many a needy family they are keeping going, who believe in the Lord.
You mean employees? Don't their competitors also support families who are Christians.
That came from the Bible.
How about the Man on Target, the Son Himself?
That is not what Jesus said.
I think you are seeing an element you particularly don’t like, and not going further to see if the alternative really is superior in the end.
I have forgiven much, and I have been forgiven of much, but you are equating forgiveness with knowingly supporting the sin.
It is not knowingly supporting a sin to give to someone who sins.
