The Supreme Court has made an utterly unconstitutional decision that states erroneously think is now valid law. But of course unconstitutional federal acts are INVALID law and should be nullified and rejected. THAT is the issue.

This nation was founded on certain principles. The constitution was and is based on those principles.
we have progeressive liberals willfully and directly attacking the bed rock foundation of our republic. we have power mongering RINOs who are going along to get along with it.
By the measure of the apologists and those saying that this woman MUST comply with the law or she is a bad government official, well by that measure, every single one of the founding fathers were bad officials.
And you know what, to England they were bad officials. But that did not change the fact that they were right.
When the officials writing the laws, executing the laws, and/or interpreting the laws depart from what is right, it is our duty to stand up against them.
I respect this woman for doing so. When existing forces, even with the force of law, corrupt the law and the very definition of the language, it is those officials who are corrupt.
As individuals in a free society we must to hold fast to the truth. Our founding fathers were very clear on these types of activities...they themselves had lived them out.
This same Paul said we may purchase meat sacrificed to idols.
And even supposing for hypothesis’ sake it were. The way it is being carried out is Calvinball. This would annull all marriage law; it wouldn’t presto change it with edits to add new substantive material.
How do you KNOW what you so boldly proclaim?

I don’t trust anybody. But the problem as I see it was not that the faggots couldn’t get a marriage license, it’s that they couldn’t get one from HER. It’s about FORCING someone to go against their religious beliefs, no matter who it is (unless of course they are muslim, the faggots wouldn’t have dare tried that if the woman was wearing a chador and backed up by a pack of muslim men).

I can’t disagree with you on the muslim thing. There’s just something that doesn’t smell right about this. I don’t know if it’s the location, the face there were homosexuals all ready to go. There’s just something off about this.

I have worked in the Rowan County Clerk’s office for 27 years as a Deputy Clerk and was honored to be elected as the Clerk in November 2014, and took office in January 2015. I love my job and the people of Rowan County. I have never lived any place other than Rowan County. Some people have said I should resign, but I have done my job well. This year we are on track to generate a surplus for the county of 1.5 million dollars.
In addition to my desire to serve the people of Rowan County, I owe my life to Jesus Christ who loves me and gave His life for me. Following the death of my godly mother-in-law over four years ago, I went to church to fulfill her dying wish. There I heard a message of grace and forgiveness and surrendered my life to Jesus Christ. I am not perfect. No one is. But I am forgiven and I love my Lord and must be obedient to Him and to the Word of God.
I never imagined a day like this would come, where I would be asked to violate a central teaching of Scripture and of Jesus Himself regarding marriage. To issue a marriage license which conflicts with God’s definition of marriage, with my name affixed to the certificate, would violate my conscience. It is not a light issue for me. It is a Heaven or Hell decision. For me it is a decision of obedience. I have no animosity toward anyone and harbor no ill will. To me this has never been a gay or lesbian issue. It is about marriage and God’s Word. It is a matter of religious liberty, which is protected under the First Amendment, the Kentucky Constitution, and in the Kentucky Religious Freedom Restoration Act.
Our history is filled with accommodations for people’s religious freedom and conscience. I want to continue to perform my duties, but I also am requesting what our Founders envisioned – that conscience and religious freedom would be protected. That is all I am asking. I never sought to be in this position, and I would much rather not have been placed in this position. I have received death threats from people who do not know me. I harbor nothing against them. I was elected by the people to serve as the County Clerk. I intend to continue to serve the people of Rowan County, but I cannot violate my conscience.
Is all of that a lie? In essence to vilify Christians because others may think it is obtuse, unyielding, or fanatical?
I do not think so. Fact is, I agree with what she says and feel she has said it from the heart.
In the end, it is up to God to judge her heart...but my gut feeling is that she is being truthful and standing on proper principles.
If you don't trust her, what do you suspect is her real motive for going through all this?
