it does feel like a gotcha question. I only heard of 2 of the 3 names
I listened to the interview.
I don’t think Trump fumbled anything.
Hewitt is an elite and a policy wonk.
I think Trump is into larger overall issues.
Works for me.
this is like quizing someone on what is the capital of x country or what is the foreign minister name
Disregard. It’s a Politico for Those Who Don’t Want to Think farticle. (aka Politico)
Wow, the guy does not know the name of every terrorist in the world. Whats even worse, I’ll bet he cant pronounce half of them anyway. /s
>>But obviously, Im not meeting these people. Im not seeing these people, Trump said.
LOL. The “gotcha” media just doesn’t know how to respond to a guy who doesn’t care what THEY think of him. They believe that every candidate needs to be elected “President of the Media” before the voters get a say.
Ask me a question about all those names, and I would say, “They sound muslim. Are they terrorist leaders? If they are, I’d get the military to kill them.”
Was Hewitt running by a list of Obama’s friends to se if Trump has the same circle of friends. Good he doesn’t.
I still would take them over any of the elitist hacks running.
Why not spring a similar question on your man Yeb, Hugh? Ask him if he knows how much China's GDP either rose or fell over the past five years.
After all, we want a president who's ready to lead the nation economically and China is our no. 1 opponent.
Hewlitt is tough but fair.
Chief Towel-Head #1, #2, and #3 would be just as accurate as pronouncing their names.
I once heard Trump say that there were 50 states. At least he’s a hell of a lot smarter than Obonzo of the 57 States.
The names don’t matter. Trump will find his General Patton to hit them hard and fast. They won’t be taking names.
Trump will learn them when he needs to. It didn’t sound like a Megyn Kelly gotcha...more straightforward than that...but still, I can’t fault Trump, or anyone not yet at the high federal level, for not knowing these off the top of their head.
dippy answer....they’ll all be gone?
yeah thats real coherent.. concise...and meaningless
Certainly Trump id not privy to inner circle stuff but Hewlitt was asking him about public knowledge.
Kinda yer job as CEO
Perfect answer. There is no reason or way for a candidate to know every nuance and fact of foreign policy BEFORE being elected since they don't have access to near as much information as a president does.
Why should he know names of terrorists at this point? As president, his briefers will give him all that on a constant basis. It’s his judgement, will and ability to lead that is important.
