The Kentucky clerk has gained national-wide attention for her refusal to issue gay couples a marriage license in spite of the Supreme Court's landmark ruling in June that same-sex couples have the right to marry.

Davis, who has lived in Rowan County all her life, has repeatedly cited "God's authority" as her reason for defying the federal courts and denying the marriage licenses.

“”She looks like a hypocritical fool and that’s why support for her will suffer. Married 4 times? Divorced 3? 2 kids out of wedlock?

She looks like a gay hater and not a conscientious objector. Perception is reality. “

She has only been a Christian for 4 years . The only ones that look like hypocrites are the ones that keep lobbing these stones at her knowing full well that her life changed after she became a Christian .

These people who keep lobbing this attack on her do NOT LIKE THE FACT that a real life change HAPPENS when someone actually puts their trust in Jesus (not government , not in a church , not in a religion , not in anything but Jesus)

No the blind are going to be blind

God is USING this woman to CONDEMN this nation.

THERE ARE A WHOLE LOT OF HYPOCRITES in this nation .
She isn’t one of them

It won’t do a lick of a good...they’ll let her fall on her sword (faith) before they compromise on the homofascism.

>>>You don’t know much about forgiveness and redemption do you?

I do. And it all depends on if you has come to Christ AFTER all of these things...or if she's a typical American Christian who wants to judge the sins of others yet fails to look at the log in her own eye. That's why when I preach on this issue I spend much more time condemning HER sin than the gay couples. Why? More bang for my buck. Why preach so I can get amens form the likes of her who are living in their own unrepentant sin.

She sounds like a typical Christian of this age and has probably sourrounded herself with the same...those who violate 1 Cor 5: 9-11. They are quick to judge the sins of those who are unbelievers...but revel in the sins of the so-called saints.

The Apostle Paul says such things should NOT be.

Your faith begins at conception. It doesn’t go from “0” to “10” when you reach 50. Looking at her life, It actually sounds like marriage is a convenience.

Well that is convenient, we can excuse everything she did in her life before she became a Born Again Christian. I find that rank hypocrisy. If she has any religious background at all she already knew right from wrong along with what is Sin. Sorry I don't buy this or her motives, whatever they are. She wants to be a Martyr, to make up for the the lack of attention and love in her life.

I highly recommend you not twist my point: as Christian’s we are called to reject sin. Her signature on gay marriage forms ordains something that God calls reprehensible.

For us as a society to usher in sin as normal by either over or covert acception of it is a sin just like the sin being ordained.

>>>Do you know if she’s been born again?

And that is the real question: Is she a real Christian or a false one. There are PLENTY of false CINO's out there who wear the cross around their neck when it's convenient but who don't carry it on a daily basis.

BUT...I am assuming if she was TRULY born again she would NOT be a democrat. You simply can't be Spirit filled and agree with abortion and gay rights. That same Spirit would also keep someone in their marriage and give them wisdom to choose a spouse that is God's choice...

Just remind the haters of the Samaritan woman at the well. I believe she had had six husbands, yet was still welcome to follow Christ.

I looked into that, too. And her job is a big deal....a prize in our area.

I'd look into who she knows....cuz I think we've been snookered.

You just JUDGED the crap out of her. That’s God’s job not yours. My Christian brothers and sisters are usually the first to judge people. Sad. Just love one another is all we are suppose to do, not judge.

Her personal flaws are irrelevant. The next person to go to prison for exercising his religious beliefs might be you or me.

In the true sense of the word, no, in that God calls us as believers to sin no more. If a democrat calls themself a Christian and then votes to usher in baby murder and sodomy, among other debauchery that democrats live by then they are the epitome of hypocrisy. You cannot worship 2 gods at once. Satan is the god of the democrat party.

AGAIN, it has to be emphasized time and again that those were her lifestyle BEFORE SHE BECAME A BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN.

Facts don't matter to the faux christians and faux conservatives here on FR. Nope, they just want to slander anyone they don't agree with.

Not the first one who had several husbands!

14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.

16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.

17 The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband:

18 For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.

19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.
***

27 And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her?

28 The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,

29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

30 Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.
***
39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.

40 So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days.

41 And many more believed because of his own word;

42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

43 Now after two days he departed thence, and went into Galilee.

See how HE Condemned the woman! Oh wait, He didn’t!

But they can, within the state rules.

They cannot, within most Christian churches. But following the rules of Christian churches is not required for the state to recognize a marriage. Atheists can get married. Pagans and Wiccans can get married. Hell, Satanists can get married.

Marriage doesn’t have to be about procreation. Elderly people past the age of conception can get married. People with hysterectomies and vasectomies can get married.

I’m not happy with her being in jail, but I think she should resign a government position that she is unwilling to perform.

I think she should feel free to exercise her religious freedom. But if her religion tells her she cannot do the job for which she was elected, even if that job has changed since she was elected, she should step down.

I don’t see how she is not a government official who is imposing her religion on the people who come to her office for government services. That’s what hangs me up on this. If she was a person who converted to Islam and decided she would not hand out licenses to anyone who wasn’t Islamic, we would all be up in arms.

I would like someone to convince me that this isn’t the case.

A soldier who decided in the middle of a war that they were now a Quaker and couldn’t shoot anyone, wouldn’t they be charged with abdication of their position?
