Hungary’s PM is probably not as crazy as you’ve heard

As the situation in Syria and Iraq continues to deteriorate, residents have been fleeing the area in droves. This has led to a serious refugee crisis everywhere they go, as well as raising uncomfortable questions about what the obligations of the various nations in the area might be in terms of taking care of them. Hungary has been getting a lot of heat over the response of their Prime Minister, Viktor Orban, who is being described by the international media as well as other leaders in the neighborhood in less than charitable terms. (BBC)

There is sympathy in Brussels for the dilemma facing Hungary as the latest flashpoint in Europe’s migration crisis. But there are precious few admirers of either the rhetoric or the solutions put forward by Hungary’s controversial Prime Minister, Viktor Orban.

“It’s Germany’s problem,” he said in the European Parliament. And the moral thing to say to refugees? “Please don’t come here.”

His interlocutors in the European institutions made no attempt to sugar coat their disagreements with the pugnacious Mr Orban. There were – unusually – very public rebukes.

“What we’re seeing,” said Martin Schulz, the parliamentary president, “is egoism instead of common European sense”.

The situation is dire to be sure, and this morning Hungary actually closed the border with Serbia, at least temporarily. But the reason that there is so much anger being directed at Orban seems to center on his rather nationalist stance regarding the sudden deluge of migrants. In a recent interview (note that the source material is in German) he made a few statements which are being described as “inflammatory” because he talked about preserving the Christian roots of his country and not wanting to suddenly allow tens of thousands of Muslims to move in. (The Guardian)

Hungary’s rightwing prime minister, Viktor Orbán, vowed on Friday that he would not let Europeans become “a minority in our own continent”, reiterating on Hungarian state radio his determination to stop the refugees. He said: “Today we are talking about tens of thousands, but next year we will be talking about millions and this has no end.

“We have to make it clear that we can’t allow everyone in, because if we allow everyone in, Europe is finished. If you are rich and attractive to others, you also have to be strong because if not, they will take away what you have worked for and you will be poor, too.”

So the common consensus is that Orban is a hateful, bigoted creep, right? But when you look at what he’s saying I have to wonder how much of this bashing is populist pressure from more socialist leaning forces which ignore some of the PM’s basic concerns. Chief among these is the idea of maintaining the sovereignty of his own nation and not having either the EU or the UN dictating what will go on inside their borders.

But it is also about smaller countries objecting to having policies imposed upon them by others.

That, though, is exactly what may be about to happen. The big guns are moving into position.

France and Germany are putting forward joint proposals for a mandatory quota system that could see more than 100,000 refugees distributed “more fairly” across the EU.

They have been in close contact with the European Commission and the European Council.

I’m not saying Orban is a saint or that he’s perfect by any means, but what’s really so destructive about the position he’s taking? He’s trying to hold on to the border integrity of his nation and is wary of accepting a flood of people with no allegiance to their flag. Also, considering where these folks are coming from, is it truly all that crazy to be suspicious? I can’t imagine a better time for a terrorist aligned radical to make their way deep into Europe than the middle of a flood of refugees.

Conditions at the camps that Orban set up seem to be truly horrible, though, and if they are going to accept some refugees temporarily they really need to do a better job of making sure that food and water make it to the people staying there. But when it comes to questions of how many migrants they are willing to take it, it seems to me that this is a question for Orban and his citizens to decided, not France and Germany.

Orban knows that the Muslim refugees of today will become the terrorists of tomorrow. He is trying to spare Hungary that nightmare.

Muslim countries wont take them b/c this is about barbarian hordes lusting after the riches of Christian countries. The hordes want to invade, wrest the country’s riches from Christians, destroy Christians, and establish their own Muslin caliphates.

One American example: Muslim Killer on Disability and Food Stamps had Diamonds and 200 Credit Cards Hidden on Texas property

Front Page Magazine | 6/20/2014 | Daniel Greenfield / FR Posted by Dqban22

This sort of thing is surprisingly common. The only reason it came to light is because the Muslim settler committed two murders in Texas, one of which he actually got away with.

The murder of Christian believer, Gelareh Bagherzadeh, was reported earlier. Gelareh Bagherzadeh was an Iranian Christian who came to this country only to be murdered by a Muslim because she encouraged his daughter to marry the man she loved.

The Texas Muslim claimed he was too disabled to work. But he wasn’t too disabled to kill.

BACKSTORY The Texan, a strict Muslim, was furious when his Jordanian-American daughter married a man without his permission. The Muslim, Ali Mahwood-Awad Irsan, blamed his daughter’s husband, relatives say. They say he also faulted one of her closest friends, 30-year-old Gelareh Bagherzadeh, a Christian convert who widely denounced Islam.

<><> First Christian-believer Bagherzadeh was killed, gunned down outside her parents’ Texas Galleria townhouse complex in January 2012.

<><> Eleven months later, Irsan’s son-in-law died after being shot multiple times in northwest Texas, in the Harris County apartment he shared with his wife.

The Texas Muslim thought he could get away with murdering because he had already gotten away with so many other things in Texas.

Federal authorities executed a search warrant at Irsan’s sprawling, 5-acre property 40 miles north of Houston, where they allegedly found cash, diamonds, pearls, weapons and phony passports hidden in attic rafters, in secret compartments throughout a cluster of trailers and outbuildings and even inside the buried drum of a clothes dryer at the Conroe, Texas property.

The Muslim Irsan, his wife Shmou Ali Alrawabdeh, and another daughter were subsequently arrested on a variety of federal fraud charges and are in federal custody.

A federal criminal complaint detailing the discoveries recounts a saga of nearly 20 years in which the 57-year-old naturalized citizen from Jordan, and his family, allegedly scammed taxpayer disability assistance funds claiming “fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue symptoms,” and “affective disorders” while secreting real estate, vehicles and cash in US and foreign bank accounts.

The complaint also alleges the Muslim Irsan:

<><> was receiving taxpayer funds for a son not living in the US,

<><> maintained several addresses on the property to facilitate various schemes, and,

<><> once disabled a safety feature on a saw then purposefully cut himself to receive a $75,000 settlement.

The Muslim Ali was certainly industrious and entrepreneurial, just not quite in the way amnesty advocates like to claim.

Also found on the property was a makeshift gun range, which witnesses said “five or six Muslim families” frequently visited to fire AK-47s and information about Irsan’s attempts to get a silencer. Nothing to do with Islam I’m sure.

The rest of the scam ...... While there have been no allegations of terrorist ties regarding the Muslim family’s alleged (a) foreign bank accounts, and, (b) suspicious wire transactions, Irsan’s strict adherence to radical Islam may have been a motive in the alleged murders.

Authorities are also re-examining a 1999 case in which Irsan was not indicted after claiming self-defense in the shooting of son-in-law Amjad Alidam, who was married to Nasemah Rachelle Irsan.

And that’s not all. Prosecutors also revealed, in connection to the social security fraud and credit card charges against Irsan, that they found more than 200 credit cards with various names and multiple variations of his own name throughout the Irwin Keel home.

Arresting officers say they also found more than 40 similar credit cards in his wallet the morning he was arrested. His daughter also alleges, among multiple other schemes detailed in court documents, that Ali Irsan purposely disabled the safety device on a Ryobi rotary saw and purposely cut his own foot. Prosecutors say he used that injury to receive a $75,000 settlement from the manufacturer.

He’s being charitable by putting them up in camps. He could close the borders and shoot anyone trying to cross illegally. Now that would really shock the precious little snowflakes in charge in the EU.

Actually, Orban knows that the muslim refugees of today are no different than the muslim invaders of Hungary's past and he is doing what he can to spare Hungary reliving that nightmare. And God Bless him for it.
