jim bunning was not only a great senator, but a very good major league pitcher. i believe he pitched a perfect game against new york.

The perfect game was on Father's Day 1964, when Bunning was pitching for the Phillies. I was 10, watching the game at our South Jersey home, on a big B&W that my father had moved into the back yard so that he and Poppop (my mother's father) could watch it on channel 6, while grilling hamburgers and drinking Rolling Rock.
