Look at my last post--Hewitt was asking about Suleimani and Quds because he had substantive questions about the impact of the Iran deal on Suleimani and Quds (the Iran deal, by the way, grants Suleimani amnesty on his past crimes). Hewitt wasn't trying to trip up Trump--he was asking him a timely, substantive question about the Iran deal, a major issue that has been in the news (and which Trump has been criticizing for some time). The only "gotcha" came when Trump interjected to confuse Quds with Kurds.
