So why then did Turkey not take in the flood of refugees? Truth be told, Turkey is a part of the problem, not in any way a solution, as with all of the other “peaceful” countries in that region.

If words were bullets, McGurk would have left nothing alive in the Middle East. The bottom line is that Obama is cooperating with Turkey’s war against the Kurds and is more than happy to see the Kurds hampered in their fight against ISIS. The Kurds have been the only effective and motivated force fighting ISIS and Obama has starved them for weapons and air support.

Hmmmmm, so let me see. We need to keep the radical Islamic PM Erdoron (sp?) who supports the Muslim Brotherhood, in power so he can help us defeat his associates or at least similarly aligned Jihadists all the while he plays the double-edged manipulator between East and West.
They should have been kicked out of NATO ages ago....ooops I mean, we need the SOBs...

This has been happening in Turkey for a while now:

I have a pretty good idea how the US would respond if these were your boys that died.
Turkey has a productive relationship with the Kurdish regime in northern Iraq, and is working with the Kurds in Syria as the record shows.
I will respect your perspective, but would hope that you keep an open mind so that we may all one day enjoy a better future together.

We can succeed against isis. First we need Obola gone. Second we need to build up our military again. And finally the Rules of engagement need to be thrown out the window.
If the WWII generation tried to fight the Germans with the stupid rules of engagement we have today, Europe would have been conquered by the third reich.

Turkey is not really on our side, and it’s time to stop pretending they are.

I just read the article. Thankfully no one was hurt too bad. Erdogan is a dog and the AKP is a blight on the region. For a while I thought, years ago, that he might be an improvement but developments, not the least of which is the 1000+ room palace, have put that notion to rest.
It’s disappointing since business and civil society, especially in the Greek and Armenian communities, seemed to be thriving in Constantinople until the past couple of years.

By you using the term “Chief of Staff” that means you are familiar with the IDF Command structure...correct?

Johnny Turk certainly knew how to sort out the Arabs.
We should put the Turks back in charge of Sunni Islam.

Trump--in one of his terrific harangues--ridiculed a U.S. general who, when asked if the U.S. can defeat ISIS, hemmed and hawed and mumbled and bumbled and fumbled, and acted like a incompetent, impotent jackass.
Then Trump asked: "Can you imagine Patton acting like that!"
And the mumbling, bumbling, fumbling jackasses of the Left just can't understand what's fueling the Trump Explosion!
KEEP IT UP, DONALD! YOU'RE ON THE RIGHT TRACK!
