Go, Trump, GO!!
September 7, 2015 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 09/07/2015 10:36:08 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

As long as he's kicking liberal, RINO and GOP-e butt and using his own money to do so, I say go, Trump, GO!!

I'm a Cruz fan and don't see how Trump kicking the crap out of our common foe does us any harm. Let him have at it.

If he destroys the GOP-e GREAT!!

If he destroys el Jebbe and all the other amnesty pimps, GREAT!!

If he destroys Hillary in the process, GREAT again!!

We've never had it so great. Finally a man comes along and takes the establishment head-on and kicks the crap out of them. Is that not a good thing?

I think the Trump bashers might want to sit back awhile and enjoy the show.

Go, Trump. GO!!

Just because it has been done wrong in the past does not set a precedent. It sucks to give up before the fight is even started.

You are living in a fantasy world. In the real world, we must deal with it as the "law of the land" and change it using real world solutions. Denial just ain't a river in Egypt.

Cruz is my first choice. By a long shot, even. But you don’t still think any ONE conservative is capable of winning the GOP nomination, do you? He’s tough and stands firmly on constitutional ground, but with... what... about 97 million people now depending on the Dems to feed them, and more coming across the border every day, it ain’t gonna happen.

Do you trust Cruz and Palin’s judgment? If no, why are you here?

If yes, then why would they be doing what they’re doing? Can we agree that her first choice would be Cruz? She could not POSSIBLY put anyone on her short candidate list in front of Cruz. Right?

Now think about this: Do you think that Palin would be talking publicly about wanting a job in a Trump administration if she had not first talked to Cruz.abiut strategy? Would she stab Cruz in the back like that? I think not.

And Cruz is a realist. He knows that everyone born before the mid-90s doesn’t have a clue what it’s like to live in a patriotic, financially sound USA.

Cruz’s time will come. First let the Doberman clear a path and show the dumb azz LIVs that it won’t kill them to vote in the Republican ticket.

The fantasy world is where you won't fight because it is a 'fantasy'.

You have already given up. Trump is showing 'real world' solutions that a few months ago were considered fantasy.

You are right, denial ain't just a river in Egypt, it's giving up before anything 'real world' gets tried. Trump is getting results from his 'fantasy'. That is how it is done. Not by throwing up one's hands and claiming defeat.

So Jim Rob isn’t a “typical” Trump “cultist”?

You and many others need a crash course in the Constitution. The Constitution is a FACT not a “feeling”. Your argument is for tyranny. How can anyone who calls themselves a “conservative” argue for tyranny? Tyranny is the unbridled rule of man which is what we have now and what you are supporting and is absolutely against the Constitution which IS THE LAW OF THE LAND (U.S. Constitution, Art VI, Cl2 - The “Supremacy Clause”).

A fundamental understanding of the Constitution starts with understanding the premise which is explicit in the Declaration of Independence and implicit in the Constitution: that individuals are BORN with all rights and freedoms SOME OF WHICH, as confirmed in the Ninth and Tenth Amendments, are DELEGATED to the feds by the states and the people via the Constitution.

If it is NOT in the Constitution, it is NOT a federal power but remains a power of the states and the people (Ninth and Tenth Amendments). You don’t need to amend the Constitution, you need to LEARN the Constitution.

The fantasy world is where you won't fight because it is a 'fantasy'.

I already provided you with the ways to fight, i.e., a constitutional amendment or mass nullification. I put more hope in the former than the latter. And it will be an uphill struggle given current attitudes, especially among the younger generation.

You have already given up. Trump is showing 'real world' solutions that a few months ago were considered fantasy.

Not fantasy to me. I was advocating Trump's (read Jeff Sessions) solutions on immigration for over 8 years.

You can create all the strawmen you want. Gay marriage is the law of the land and needs to be changed. You don't change it by saying that no such law exists. It is Clintonian to take a common phrase and then parse the meaning of words.

The reality is that anyone who tries to prevent it will face the consequences in the courts.

“Oh no... that is very likely the point. The adulation for Trump now is at near-worship levels. “

Ah, the usual buzzwords.

Because “worship” adds SO much to the argument.

LOL.

I’m for Cruz.....the real conservative in the race. But Trump, although not professing conservatism IS professing Americanism. I’ll take that with a side order of VP Cruz.

There appears to be a real connection between the two.

It’s not a matter of ‘settling’. It’s a matter of letting trump knock out both bush and Clinton.

There is only one candidate I enthusiastically support, and that is Cruz. I’m hoping that changes, I keep sending him money, but of all the others, my 2nd choice is Trump...just hoping he blow the GOP up.

The GOP announced last week that Mitch McConnell thinks funding the government is more important than the sale of baby body parts, so they don’t want a Planned Parenthood fight.

Why would I think I’d get what I want from any of those candidates? Might as well roll the dice with Trump.

Spare me the "lesson." In the real world, we must deal with the decisions of SCOTUS, whether it is gay marriage, segregation, or gun control. Rightly or wrongly, Marbury vs Madison has given the Courts far more influence than they should have,

The Constitution can be amended by the people. It may have to be to rein in the courts.

So as you labor in your fantasy world, what is your solution to prohibiting gay marriage in the real world? The one that puts Kim Davis in jail or fines a baker for not selling a cake that portrays gay marriage.

Ted never saw an immigrant visa he didn’t like.

Looks that way. And that's not a minor issue about doctrinaire purity as some would have it; in addition to being a bread-and-butter matter for many FReepers, it's been pointed out on other threads that legal immigrants overwhelming vote DummyRat - so unchecked legal immigration spells the death of conservatism and with it America.

They think they are very clever because of their 'pragmatism' and 'reality'

What they really have is the old 'common wisdom' that hasn't worked this cycle.

Personally, I consider them idiots instead of clever. Their pragmatism doesn't work. Their pragmatism is fantasy.

I'm not a Trump fan. I keep giving money to Cruz, but I have to admit, like it or not... Trump is getting results. The GOP-E isn't.

Replace a liberal SC judge with an originalist judge. Then take take the matter back to the SC. The next president might have such an opportunity.

My point stands based on the above reason that I gave.

Our candidates should say more on the Kim Davis matter than simply, "It's the law of the land".

The great outspoken, kick-ass-and-take-names Donald Trump didn't do that.
