I think we have to be honest observers of Trump. We can like half or 2/3rds of what he says and critique the rest of it.

No one can really predict whether Trump’s involvement will help or hurt the result of the primary. Sadly I think the safe bet is that we once again see a social conservative, a “tough-talking” conservative and a RINO battle it out with predictable results. Carson will win Iowa, Trump will win the South and Jeb will win everywhere else. Jeb is a non-factor now, but once his $100 million gets spent, it’ll be a shot in the arm just as it was for Romney who was also feeble until the weeks before the actual voting when he bombarded the airwaves with negative ads. And Trump will be even easier to demonize than Gingrich was.

The difference now of course is that Trump will have as much money as the RINO candidate. But can he win the attack ad war or not? And will he be willing to spend the amount of money and get it done in advance or will he let Jeb get a head start on him and only be in reactive mode?

No and in spades!

WHY ?

Because trump fights back and does so hard; not to mention that he knows how to do so that makes most of the populace cheer him on.

Well, it appears to me that Trump is winning over the public re the illegal alien problem and if so that alone is a giant win for us. And that will knock Jeb out of the race no matter how much money he raises. We need more of this not less.

Go, Trump, GO!!

Most of Trump’s support is not from the Brim and Firestone bunch, so I’m not sure if an ad telling us that Trump is pro-choice, for example, will hurt him all that much. On top of that Trump seems to know how to handle hit-pieces better than any candidate since Reagan (if not better).

As far as Iowa, don’t worry, Carson stepped in it on Amnesty last week and he seemed totally lost on the Second Amendment less than a year ago. His 15 minutes of fame are over.

We’ll see about Florida, but Trump will be tough to beat there too, providing he keeps running a national campaign...and if Trump does win Florida, then the Primary season is effectively over.

Trump has yet to be in reactive mode on anything. He attacks; he doesn’t retreat. His response time to being attacked by others is virtually instantaneous. And he smells a win; Trump will spend money. Trump gives no quarter. Not to worry.

The future is promised to no one.

I believe Trump is a symbol, the focus of dissatisfaction with the political establishment in general and the GOP in particular. In one sense it doesn't matter if Trump wins the nomination or the general, the GOP is headed to oblivion.

The sun will rise the morning after, we'll put on a pot of coffee and start figuring out what need be done...just like every day.

Jeb can't get out of single digits.

Trump could spend $2 for every $1 that Jeb spends.

And frankly I wonder if Jeb's $100 million in commitments haven't walked.
