I remember back to the Clinton/Bush campaign of 1992 - something Clinton said is forever etched in the halls of politics - “It’s the economy - stupid!” That, in my opinion resonated with the electorate and helped win him the nomination and the presidency. Also, what GHW Bush said also resonated - “Read my lips - no new taxes.” Then he proceeded to give into the Democrats and raise taxes. Likewise - Trump’s slogan - “Make American Great Again,” is one of those slogans that resonates with all - and will be remembered.

Origin of Make America Great Again came from Ted Cruz in 2013. Trump called him then and asked him to not use it again aftter that so he, Trump could have it. Cruz agreed to give it to him.
