Donald Trump is putting his mouth where CNNs money is, demanding that all profits from the broadcast of next weeks GOP debate go to veterans.
Following news that CNN has been capitalizing on Trump-mania by raising ad prices for the Sept. 16 debate to 40 times their normal rate....I believe that all profits from this broadcast should go to various VETERANS groups, a list of which I will send to you in the near future, Trump tells Zucker in the letter.

LOL, LOL, LOL, you expect Zucker to part with his $$$? Why do you think the rates went up as they did, it was his chance to make a killing. He won’t want to part with the money, its business! However, if the Donald withdraws from the debate, its a loser for Zucker, as those who paid won’t see their return of the advertising investment. I don’t think Zucker will want to part with the money, especially not the way Trump put it.
That would work if the networks had done past debates on a non-profit basis. But they haven't, so why should CNN feel shamed with making a bundle on this one? It is, after all, a business. What might make a bigger splash would be if Trump got up there and said, "I estimate CNN will make $X million on these debates. Since they won't donate that money to veterans charities then I will." And then pull out a checkbook and write a check.
And when they dont, then what?.....Then they show the mindset of liberals to all. Just like you, DOODOO Dawg.
Limbaugh will be all over this today.
I remember when people were clamoring for a candidate who read Rules For Radicals and used it against the left.
Now we have one and the Douche Squad around here are whining that he’s being ‘anti-Capitalist’ by doing this.
Limbaugh is on it NOW!
Great idea! Puts CNN on the defensive, and probably makes it look bad whether it contributes or not.
If Trump is this mischievous and rabble-rousing, then maybe that’s what we need in Washington. I don’t know.
I am not even 100% sure we’ll make it to the next election.
Limbaugh just stated: CNN’s advertisement prices for the debate went from $5,000 per minute to $250,000 per minute!
Lets get on board CNN! Help out the Veterans!
“And when they dont, then what? Trump wont show?”
When the Debate “moderator” tries to attack him, he has an attack line he can respond with.
We ALL know CNN isn’t going to do this. Libs want to be generous with YOUR MONEY, not theirs.
wait... the Commie lovers at CNN actually wanted to make a PROFIT???
that’s so UNFAIR
Better get one of the large, reputable accounting firms to make sure all the money that’s supposed to go to the vets actually gets there. Not that CNN can’t be trusted/s.
And no skimming off the top, CNN.
The Donald shows once again he’s a cut above.
Love him or hate him, he doesn’t miss any opportunities!!
Can’t wait to see what the haters are going to write!!
Genius. And God Bless Trump.
Trump says, "You want to play Gotcha with me?"
"I'll show you how the Gotcha Game is played."
"Donate the extra revenue to Vets or I am out of here."
Ah ha ha ha...CNN. You gotta give it away or appear to be big selfish meanies like those rich 1%’ers. haha
They’re not going to do that, they’ll give themselves bonuses instead or donate it to Hitlerys campaign. It’s CNN!
“GREEDY LIBERALS!!” - Trump is exposing the LEFTMEDIA for what they are: “GREEDY LIBERALS”
They won’t donate a red cent. Or if they do, it’ll be begrudgingly.
He should also say to CNN: “And no, donating to discriminatory multi-cultie/victim causes is NOT part of the deal. It must go to veterans.”
Furthemore, he could say: “If I said tomorrow, I won’t be attending the debate, watch as your advertisers pull out.”
They have every right to make a decision not to donate their revenue to our Veterans. It's their choice right?
To be honest, I really hope they decline!☺
I won’t hold my breath waiting for CNN to actually write the check.
