That was *Ambassador* Keyes and Cain was no more knowledgeable on the issues than Carson. Carson is much more likable than Keyes was, and both Cain and Carson have drawn, at least for a time, much more support than Keyes did.
But none of them had actual political experience and they all for at time drew much more fervent support from a good number of conservative Freepers, at least, than their records alone would suggest.
I've seen and heard enough to know that Dr.Carson doesn't belong in the presidential campaign.
This seems a perfect illustration of my own opinion concerning the good Dr., he is a brilliant neurosurgeon but like most people who are extremely good at an extremely difficult specialty he is a failure looking for a place to happen once he steps out into the world of the generalist. I have all kinds of misgivings about Donald Trump but he is far more of a generalist than the Dr. and seems far, far more likely to at least do SOMETHING right. I hope this country, as crazy as it has become, is not yet crazy enough to replace one “black” president who NEVER does anything right because he is dedicated to the destruction of the USA with another who is likely to be no better simply because of lack of ability. The great Dr. Carson, for whom I have total respect as a surgeon, seems to have no more understanding of the Michael Brown case than I have of neurosurgery. He approaches the question of what the officer should have done as if it were a problem in neurosurgery where you look at x-rays, cat scans, etc. and think about how to approach a solution rather than a life or death situation in which you have a fraction of a second to react. I hope I am making myself clear, I mean no disrespect to Dr. Carson but he IS NOT PRESIDENTIAL MATERIAL. I keep wondering why he has entered the race, I certainly would never think for one second that I should be president but I honestly believe that Dr. Carson would be an even worse president than RipSawyer would be.
“Why exactly do we need to have a Surgeon General?”
Because we have to uh, well, we need to uh, you see, it’s like this, you gotta,uh, beats the heck outa me!
Paying attention to what Carson says he might do as a police officer makes about as much sense as listening to Darren Wilson say what he might do as a neurosurgeon. Carson is not a police officer, has never been a police officer, and has no clue as to what the job entails.
“I would have blown Browns butt away as soon as he charged me.”
I hope that is what I would do in such a situation but having never been in such a position I can only hope. Those who HAVE been in that position and did NOT react as you say cannot advise me as they are dead.
“Let some 250 lb street hood beat you to death?”
I just weighed in this morning at three pounds over that and Michael Brown reportedly had me by fifty or more pounds. I suspect that Brown could have body slammed a 250 pound street hood before his career ended so abruptly.
“Its almost like he doesnt want the office of President.”
It is quite possible that he actually does not want it, either consciously or subconsciously. I believe that consciously he at least has convinced himself that he wants it, subconsciously he likely has not, he is intelligent enough to know at some level that he is NOT the man who should be president. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_VrFV5r8cs0
According to the Oxford Dictionaries:
Definition of “jump the shark”:
informal (Of a television series or movie)
to reach a point at which far-fetched events are included merely for the sake of novelty, indicative of a decline in quality.
[An allusion to the television series Happy Days, in which a central character (the Fonz) jumps over a shark in a waterskiing stunt]
“I have thought for awhile that since the GOPe wasnt afraid of Carsons #s that they must have something on him and would and could destroy him at will.
Well... apparently Carson wants to beat them to it!
Total implosion of the Carson campaign in the last 24 hours. Its like he has switched brains with Jeb the last two days.”
Maybe it is deliberate. Maybe he figured out he is in over his head, and is being used as a tool...
Is this Carson’s version of leading from behind?
