Bush is like the father of the bride faced with a drunken party crasher.
Donald Trump is “emasculating” Jeb Bush.
So says Steve Schmidt. It’s a harsh assessment, which the former George W. Bush operative who went on to run John McCain’s 2008 presidential bid delivered during a recent appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe”:
“Look, Jeb Bush was a very successful governor, he’s a thoughtful man, he was a good, conservative governor,” said Mr. Schmidt. “But every day, Donald Trump is emasculating Jeb Bush, and Republican primary voters are not going to default to the establishment candidate who is being weakened by these attacks that go unresponded to.”

Here’s the problem Mr. Trump presents. Mr. Bush is like the father of the bride dealing with a belligerent drunk who’s crashed the wedding reception. At every juncture, the drunk is willing to escalate insults. Because he’s long beyond shame, moreover, he doesn’t mind an incident, and might even want one.

Bush is like the sad drunk that says the wrong thing and can never figure what was wrong with it.

Steve Schmidt was such an a&&hole to Sarah Palin, that if he works for a GOP candidate, that candidate is automatically dead to me. It would say so much about the character (or lack thereof) of that candidate.

He misses the point. The rejection of Bush has as much to do with Boehner, McConnell, and the rest of the Republicans who refuse to listen to the base as it does with Trump.

BESIDES that fact that he let her die and is for amnesty, AND common core, which means I could NEVER vote for him, he did sound like he did a pretty good job in Floridan if his comments during debate were true.

Jeb is an overly hyped product for which there no customer. Very much like the Edsel automobile.
