There is a very good book I’ve read: George Washington’s Sacred Fire (Peter A. Lillback). After reading this (it’s mostly the words/writings of George Washington himself), I am absolutely convinced that GW was either ‘sent’, used, or blessed by God (probably all 3) in the founding of this country. It’s hard for me to explain how this changed my thinking about a lot of things .... just be assured that it did. Trump is SO different, it makes me wonder if he isn’t a lifeboat being sent by God. I’ve been praying (along with many others) for this country and for God to not turn his head away from us. Of the candidate field out there, despite some of them being very ‘religious’ or so-called ‘conservative’, Trump is the one who brings to mind, for me, what the atmosphere must have been like when those early Americans were fighting tyranny and struggling to birth a new nation and have it survive. We are back in survival mode now - we need a pro-American leader & Trump fills that bill for me and I am trusting God to work His will. Some people criticize Trump for not being very religious .... my guess is, if elected, his Bible will be found much closer at hand.

If Boehner and McConnell were smart they would shut the government down over virtually any issue, Planned Parenthood comes handily to mind, and bring the matter to a protracted boil. The result would be to remove much of the impetus for Donald Trump but, of course, not all.

True Dat!

... the likes of Boehner and McConnell who will never shut the government down as long as they can keep it open.

True dat. Here's just a little keyword sampling of a multitude of threads of McConnell's own words to prove it ... mcconnell shutdown

The main problem with the GOP is that it is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Cheap Labor Express.

They have been paid to betray us.

It’s not a matter of incompetence it is a matter of treason against the citizens.

They are not going to go quietly into the night. Too much money at stake. If they have to they will forge an alliance with the dems to get someone else. Why is it there is not one “leader” calling for hitlery to be jailed? Simple they choose her over trump or Cruz or Carson.

Remember their smugness after the ‘14 election?

They were confident they’d crushed conservatives after most survived their primary challenges and especially after they returned Cochran to the Senate. They thought they were clever, proclaiming that they’d “expanded their base.”

Turns out, they no longer really have a base and their victory was hollow—they won nothing.

A fantastic book. I recommend it to all groups I speak to.

We have too many Christians who think they need to elect a saint as president, rather than asking God, "Can You/will You lead this person?" If it were up to "moral Christians," Moses (a murderer) never would have led the Israelites, nor David (an adulterer) been their king, nor Jonah (a rebellious, unwilling vessel) a prophet, nor Peter (a liar), a saint, nor Thomas (a doubter) a saint, nor Paul (who gave executioners their orders) a saint . . . .

I would rather have one guy or gal whose spirit is willing to be led---and since you can never see a person's spirit, or know, you just have to trust God once in a while.

[We really want somebody who will JUST DO THE RIGHT THING.]

We need a President who will look to GOD ALMIGHTY for wisdom, guidance and strength to do the right thing.

TED CRUZ? Already does that.
TRUMP? A work in progress. PRAY for him.

One definition of insanity is to continue doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different result.

A wise man said, There are three boxes used to change governments;
1) Soap Box
2) Ballot Box
3) Cartridge Box
2016 may be our last chance with number two.

I didn’t think it was ineptitude, I thought the GOPe was in bed with the same people as the liberals.

Everybody’s world is falling apart. Why should they be spared? They bear the greater responsibility for what is happening. In fact, they deserve the brunt.

Trump is unpredictable to them because he might actually do some of the things he is talking about!

Has anyone heard Trump say anything bad or derogatory or anything at all about Obama? I have heard him interview plenty of times, have not heard all his speeches, so has he said one thing about Obama? Anything about his phony fake birth certificate? I think that is the last time i heard Trump say anything about Obama.

Be careful on this forum talking about a candidate that is not the hand picked candidate for the R party. I did not vote for the candidate that the GOP-e and their money masters picked for me to vote for, Romney, and have been blamed for all our problems because of my non vote. Even been blamed for Iran having nukes now, the Christians that did not vote for the Romney are now responsible for the deal with Iran.

Did you ever hear Trump share about his early church going days in Brooklyn? Norman Vincent Peale was his pastor! He said he was always so sad when pastor Peale's sermon was over and he had to go home.

He has had a good church teaching foundation as a child, when you have that, it usually keeps you always believing God exists and believing there are consequences when you don't.

Easily the most stupid op-ed smear about Trump yet.
