Sen. John Cornyn is calling on Attorney General Loretta Lynch to appoint a special counsel to oversee the investigation into Hillary Clinton off-the-books email arrangement.
Secretary Clintons misconduct is evident, and her intent since the beginning of her tenure as Secretary of State to keep information from the public is clear, stated Cornyn, the Senate GOPs second-in-command.
The present circumstances surrounding her use of a private email server during her tenure as Secretary of State could not be more extraordinary, the Texas senator continued, nor the conflicts greater. Americans deserve the assurance that justice and justice alone is being pursued.

We finally get a Republican to say the right thing and people on Free Republic are complaining about it?
Good for Cornyn.
Now, keep after it.
Will this special counsel share an office with the one investigating Lois Lerner and the IRS?
Congress can appoint a special prosecutor with or without DOJ consent. Why the Hell is Cornyn even asking Lynch for her opinion?
Loretta will continue to Lynch conservatives.
It’s Obama’s way.
A couple decades late. Still won’t hold my breath.
Nixon was cranky and cussed a little, but he did not create a foundation in which to massage access for sworn enemies of our nation while creating for herself a nice lotto win for her vaunted campaign.
Cornball is big on callIng for stuff where he doesn’t have to vote on record, someone else has to do it, and there is no chance of it happening.
isn’t this the perfect scenario that gave reason to our Founders to include the second amendment?
Absent Trump, would Cornhole be saying this?
Thanks for making a list of crap this country no longer needs.
“We finally get a Republican to say the right thing and people on Free Republic are complaining about it?”
Some of us have been watching this kabuki theater since the 90s, and we know rule of law and due process have become a media joke nowadays.
Rule of law and due process used to separate the US from third world toilets with flags.
“You tend to get more of the behavior you reward, and less of the behavior you punish.”
If we keep admonishing Republicans who say the right thing, we’ll have fewer and fewer of them saying the right thing.
If we reward Republicans who say the right thing, we’ll have more and more Republicans saying the right thing.
This is the campaign issue they want?
They can’t run on spending, reducing government, pro-life, repealing Obamacare or a whole host of other issues so this is it?
With Cornyn, that’s all it is—talk.
